Senior Sales Consultant – North of England (Remote) Location: Remote, with travel focussed across the North of England, Scotland, and Ireland Salary: up to £40,000 DOE + Generous Commission Structure Start Date: from October 2025 Valid and Clean Full UK Driving License Required About Us At Maker&Son, we create luxury, made-to-order furniture crafted with the highest quality natural materials. The Role We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Sales Consultant to join our growing team. This is a remote position, ideally suited to someone based in the North of England. You will be provided with one of our Mobile Showrooms – a beautifully fitted vehicle that allows you to bring the Maker&Son experience directly to our customers’ homes. You will be responsible for driving sales through home consultations, virtual appointments, and by managing key trade relationships across your region. This is a unique opportunity to combine consultative, high-touch customer service with a passion for design, helping clients create spaces they’ll cherish for years. Key Responsibilities • Client Consultations – Deliver exceptional in-home and virtual consultations, guiding customers through our collections, fabrics, and customisation options to design the perfect furniture for their home., • Mobile Showroom Management – Take ownership of your Mobile Showroom vehicle, ensuring it is well-presented, stocked with fabric samples, and ready to offer an inspiring brand experience. Travel to a nearby safe and secure parking location is essential., • Regional Sales Growth – Actively manage leads focussed across the North of England, Scotland, and Ireland, converting interest into confirmed orders and building long-term customer relationships., • National Trade Sales & Partnerships – Cultivate and manage relationships with interior designers, architects, and other trade partners across the UK, ensuring they have everything they need to specify Maker&Son products., • Team Collaboration – Work closely with our central Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from consultation to delivery. From time to time, you will be required to attend and take part in brand sales-led events and exhibitions., • Reporting & Insight – Provide feedback on regional trends, customer needs, and trade opportunities to help shape future strategy. About You You are a natural relationship builder who combines strong commercial skills with a love of design and interiors. You thrive in a consultative sales environment and are motivated by creating memorable experiences for customers. Essential Skills & Experience: • Proven track record in consultative, high-value sales (B2C or B2B) – ideally in furniture, interiors, or luxury goods., • Experience building and managing trade relationships (interior designers, architects, property developers)., • Confident presenting to clients in person and via video call, with excellent communication skills., • Organised and proactive, comfortable managing your own schedule and pipeline., • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the North of England, Scotland, and Ireland, and also nationally if/when required. Desirable: • Knowledge of furniture production, fabrics, or interior design principles., • Experience in Luxury Sales / Interior design / Architect studio, • Experience working with CRM systems to track opportunities and performance.
