66kV WTG Authorised Person (AP) £650 a day + offshore benefits + flights and accommodation Offshore Wind Farms, Taiwan Long-term outside IR35 contract (12 months minimum) | Full-time | Rotational shifts We’re seeking experienced 66kV Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Authorised Persons (APs) to support our client's offshore wind operations across Taiwan. This is a safety-critical role for highly competent HV professionals with proven experience operating as a 66kV AP on Siemens Gamesa wind turbine platforms. Key Responsibilities • Act as the 66kV Authorised Person (AP) for Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) electrical systems, • Perform, control, and document HV switching, isolation, earthing, and re-energisation activities, • Issue and receive Permits to Work (PTW), Sanctions for Test (SFT), and Limitations of Access (LOA), • Ensure full compliance with Siemens Gamesa HV rules, electrical safety procedures, and site standards, • Interface professionally with Ørsted, Siemens, client representatives, and site management, • Support commissioning, fault response, troubleshooting, operations, and HSE activities Mandatory Authorisations & Certifications • Valid Siemens Gamesa 66kV WTG Authorised Person (AP) status, • Valid HV Switching authorisation (ideally Orsted) Training & Competency Requirements • Completion of the full Siemens Gamesa 66kV AP Training Matrix, • Siemens Gamesa HV Electrical Safety Rules and Control of Work / PTW training, • 66kV WTG switching, isolation, earthing, and access procedures, • HV Authorised Person / Senior Authorised Person modules (as applicable), • WTG-specific HV systems training for relevant turbine families, • Valid GWO certifications (all in date) Key Skills and experience: • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working with HV systems at 66kV or above, • Proven experience operating as a WTG Authorised Person on Siemens Gamesa platforms, • Offshore wind farm experience strongly preferred, • Experience ideally working under Ørsted electrical and safety governance or similarly aligned, • Strong understanding of HV safety principles, risk management, and procedural compliance, • Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in safety-critical and high-pressure environments, • Excellent communication skills when working within multicultural offshore teams, • High levels of discipline, accuracy, and flexibility, including willingness to work offshore rotational schedules What you get in return: • £650 day rate plus offshore benefits (negotiable and paid in GBP), • Fully expensed flights and accommodation, • A minimum 12 month contract (work estimated up to 18 months with potential for extension), • Work on large-scale offshore wind farms in Taiwan, • Structured safety-focused environment with clear procedures and governance This company is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
