This role is eligible for the ___ Ready for a fresh challenge? We have an exciting and rare opportunity for you to join our lively kitchen team at the world-class University of Bath. We’re looking for a talented Chef de Partie who’s passionate about food and eager to bring creativity and skill to our menus. What you’ll do: • Take ownership of your section and lead by example, • Mentor and support junior kitchen staff, • Work alongside a team of five Commis Chefs and a Chef de Partie, with guidance from our Sous Chef and Head Chef The role is part‑time at 22.5 hours per week on a 3‑over‑7 contract and includes early mornings, late evenings, and weekend shifts. You’ll be working in a vibrant, fast‑paced kitchen environment as part of our West Hospitality team. This is a 42‑week‑per‑year contract with fixed holiday periods, with typical non‑working weeks at Christmas, Easter, and August. Hours are mainly daytime during term time, with increased evening work over the summer. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and owns their responsibilities in the kitchen. You’ll: • Deliver high standards every day through hard work and dependability., • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade and wider catering team., • Handle challenges professionally and efficiently, staying calm and solutions-focused., • Stay organised and positive during busy service times, thriving under pressure.
