Connect to your opportunity We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Senior Enterprise Architect - End-User Technology, to provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in the design, development, and implementation of our end-user computing strategy. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of end-user technologies, enterprise architecture principles, and best practices, with a focus on delivering a seamless, secure, and productive user experience across a complex and evolving technological landscape. The successful candidate will be a visionary thought leader, influencing technology direction, driving innovation, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and operations teams. Prior experience within a Big 4 firm, particularly with an understanding of Deloitte's operational landscape and client-centric approach, will be highly advantageous. Connect to your skills and professional experience Essesntial • Develop and champion a long-term vision and comprehensive architecture roadmap for all end-user technologies, including mobile devices, laptops, desktops, virtual environments, and office small end-user technology (e.g., desk screens, connectivity, printers, peripherals), aligning it with overall business strategy and anticipating future technological needs., • Build effective working relationships with key vendors, influencing future product development, and ensuring products are closely aligned to Deloitte requirements., • As a member of the Global Laptop Steering Committee, you will actively participate in negotiating and setting of future computing hardware standards for all member firms., • Lead the evaluation, selection, and standardisation of cutting-edge end-user technologies and peripherals. This includes defining enterprise-wide standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, interoperability, security, and optimal user experience across the firm, considering factors such as cost, performance, security, user adoption, vendor capabilities, and long-term strategic alignment., • Lead the design of complex and innovative end-user computing solutions, ensuring scalability, security, high availability, and a superior user experience. Deliver comprehensive high-level design documents (HLDs) for the implementation of new end-user technology solutions, ensuring clarity and accessibility for diverse audiences., • Collaborate extensively with other IT teams (e.g., Security, Infrastructure, Applications), business stakeholders, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of end-user technologies with existing systems and emerging enterprise solutions., • Proactively identify and assess emerging trends and technologies in end-user computing, including areas such as AI, machine learning, augmented/virtual reality, and advanced collaboration tools. Translate these insights into actionable strategies and architectural patterns for the firm., • Manage and mitigate risks associated with end-user technology adoption, ensuring strict compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, local data protection laws), and industry best practices. Proactively address potential vulnerabilities and ensure robust endpoint security and data protection., • Conduct regular architectural reviews of end-user technology infrastructure and applications, identifying areas for continuous improvement, optimisation, cost reduction, and enhanced user productivity., • Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex end-user technology-related issues., • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the end-user technology team, mentoring and developing junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning., • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex end-user computing architectures, demonstrating strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills., • Deep understanding of end-user technologies, including operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, ChromeOS), mobile device management (MDM), virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), cloud-based end-user solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SaaS applications), and collaboration tools., • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex challenges., • Participate actively in industry events and conferences, staying current on best practices and emerging technologies, and sharing knowledge and insights with the team and the broader firm. Preferred • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is highly preferred or equivalent, • Proven years of experience in IT architecture, with established experience on end-user technologies in a large, complex enterprise environment., • Strong understanding of end-user security best practices, compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR), and risk management frameworks., • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment., • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Citrix Certified Architect, VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable, • Prior experience working with one of the Big 4 firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) Connect to your business - Enabling Functions Collaboration is central to everything we do at Deloitte.
