Residential Children’s Home Team Leader Location: London Boroughs Salary: Up to £38,000 + benefits We are a growing, values-led provider of children’s residential care, operating multiple therapeutic homes across London Boroughs. We support young people aged 11–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and complex needs, delivering high-quality, child-centred care in a nurturing environment. We are seeking an experienced Residential Children’s Home Team Leader to join one of our London-based homes. This is an exciting opportunity to take a step into leadership, develop your skills, and support a motivated staff team while making a real difference to young people’s lives. The Role • Lead a small team of Residential Childcare Workers within a children’s home, • Supervise and support staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and feedback, • Assist with day-to-day operations and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care, • Promote safeguarding, stability, and emotional wellbeing for children and young people, • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and incident reporting, • Work alongside the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager to ensure regulatory compliance, • Embed therapeutic, trauma-informed, and child-centred approaches, • Participate in staff meetings, multi-agency meetings, and training sessions Essential Requirements • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), • Experience working in a children’s residential care setting, • Understanding of Ofsted Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations, • Leadership, team management, and communication skills, • Ability to motivate and support a team while maintaining high standards of care, • Experience supporting young people with EBD, SEMH, or complex needs, • Emotional resilience and a commitment to child-centred practice Desirable • Experience in a therapeutic or trauma-informed residential setting, • Previous experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role, • Knowledge of positive behaviour support, • Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer • Competitive salary, • Structured development opportunities and career progression, • Access to specialist training and CPD, • Supportive, values-led working environment Why Join Us? • Join a provider with multiple homes across London Boroughs, • Supportive leadership and a collaborative team culture, • Opportunity to develop leadership skills and progress within the service, • Make a real difference to children and young people with complex needs If you are ready to take the next step in your career and make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
