ABOUT THE ROLE Grace and Tailor is seeking a full-time Warehouse Manager to oversee and prepare kit for our busy audio-visual operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing multi-skilled team delivering AV services to live events, exhibitions, and conferences. The Warehouse Manager will be the focal point of activity in our busy warehouse, ensuring equipment, vehicles, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. You will manage the consistent and accurate coordination of equipment for jobs, supporting live event delivery through effective inventory control, equipment preparation, health and safety compliance, and on-site operational support when required. We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, and well-organised individual with broad knowledge of AV and production equipment, and experience working in a hire or technical events warehouse. The role involves manual handling and occasional customer-facing activities and requires close collaboration with the Operations Manager, Managing Director, and other team members to meet operational needs efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring all kit, flight cases, storage areas, and facilities are organised, secure, and maintained to a professional standard., • Work closely with project managers to plan equipment allocations, manage shortages, and arrange cross-hire equipment as required., • Prepare, check, and dispatch AV and production equipment for wet and dry hire, applying strong technical knowledge of AV systems and interconnections., • Receive, de-prep, test, clean, and return equipment to service, ensuring all faults, damage, and repairs are logged and actioned promptly., • Assist with kit prep and de-prep, event installs and de-rigs, and on-site setup and operation of AV systems as required., • Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records using the company’s equipment management system, including logging all new equipment and performing regular stock and equipment level checks., • Manage the full lifecycle of equipment, including acceptance into stock, in-service testing, maintenance, inspection, and decommissioning (including cataloguing, photographing, and preparing items for sale)., • Carry out basic equipment maintenance and arrange external servicing where required, ensuring minimal downtime., • Schedule and manage maintenance and compliance testing, including H&S, PAT, LOLER, and general facilities requirements., • Manage warehouse consumables and job-specific purchasing, ensuring best value and availability., • Oversee warehouse health and safety, ensuring compliance with all policies, conducting regular risk assessments, and maintaining clear fire exits and safe working practices., • Ensure the warehouse remains clean, tidy, and well-organised, coordinating regular cleaning and general upkeep., • Manage company vehicles, including movement within the warehouse, loading and unloading, mileage and fuel checks, and weekly vehicle inspections., • Liaise with courier services and manage equipment collections and deliveries., • Act as an alarm and key holder for the warehouse., • Develop, document, and improve warehouse systems, processes, and procedures to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer service., • Provide reports and operational updates to the senior team as required and liaise daily with colleagues., • Work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and short-notice attendance to meet operational demands., • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the business QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing or working within a warehouse environment., • Demonstrable experience with audio-visual and live event production equipment., • Strong knowledge of digital and analogue AV systems., • Experience with cable repair, soldering, and basic electronic maintenance., • Confident user of software-based inventory and stock management systems., • IT literate with strong organisational and time-management skills., • Proven ability to manage high workloads independently while meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail. KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure., • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to follow standard operating procedures., • Capable of conducting daily risk assessments and identifying safety issues., • Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks., • Solid understanding of health and safety procedures, including PAT testing., • Process-driven, with a focus on accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement., • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills., • Resides within 30 minutes of the warehouse and available for out-of-hours and weekend work when required. REQUIRED / DESIRABLE LICENCES & CERTIFICATIONS • Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)., • Forklift licence, Manual Handling, and Working at Heights certifications (desirable). Salary - £30k p.a.
