National Grid is hiring two Trainee Development Assessors. This position can be located in either Eakring Warwick Tipton or Taunton. We have 2 fantastic opportunities to join our team as Trainee Development Assessors 1 on a Full Time Permanent basis and 1 on an 8-12month fixed term contract for maternity leave. Please note this is not a trainee tole this role is reviewing our trainees whilst they are partaking in our apprenticeship schemes. The role will sit within the Apprenticeships team reporting to the Apprenticeship Specialist. As you will be working with employees aged between 16 and 18 we will require a DBS check to be undertaken by the successful applicant at the Enhanced level. The ET Trainee Development Assessor at National Grid is responsible for reviewing and supporting apprentices throughout their training journey. This role involves planning and delivering progress reviews to ensure that apprentices are meeting performance standards while also maintaining accurate documentation of their progress. The Assessor will collaborate with various stakeholders including the Development Programmes and HR Teams to provide the necessary support for learners. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering the development of young apprentices ensuring their educational needs are met and promoting their overall welfare in accordance with National Grid policies. • Proficiency in organisational skills with proven ability to work in a fast paced high-pressured environment., • Self-motivated and resilient with excellent risk assessment recording and time-management skills., • Knowledge of adolescence and emotional / developmental needs of young people., • Skills in empathy understanding and listening. Ability to work as part of a team and to take a flexible professional approach., • Experience of working with students or young people., • A knowledge of the OFSTED Education Inspection Framework is desirable., • Experience of reviewing mentoring or coaching apprentices is desirable ideally coming from an existing teaching or training background., • Experience designing and delivering presentations and training to learners., • The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in line with National Grid policies and the Keeping Children Safe in Education Government guidelines and experience in this area is desirable., • Competitive Salary: circaper annum (dependent on location capability and experience).
