This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous finance experience who is looking to build on their month-end and management accounts exposure within a supportive environment.\n\nYou’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, helping to maintain accurate records, complete reconciliations, and assist with reporting activities.\n\nEstablished in the 80's our client has grown to become one of the top ten largest value-added resellers in the UK. They consult, define, adapt and deliver on real-life outcomes and collaborate closely to bring that positive impact home.\n\nKey Responsibilities: Assistant Accountant\n\nAssist with month-end close activities including journals, accruals and prepayments\nPerform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances\nSupport VAT preparation and audit requirements\nHelp maintain accurate financial records and reporting packs\nSupport process improvements and finance controls\nWork closely with stakeholders across the business and wider finance team\nWhat We’re Looking For: Assistant Accountant\n\nPrevious experience within a finance or accounts role\nUnderstanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping\nStrong Excel skills including formulas, lookups and pivot tables\nHigh attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines\nExperience with accounting systems such as D365 is advantageous\nAAT studying or interest in further qualifications would be beneficial\nExperience supporting month-end close and management accounts.\nDevelopment Opportunities: Support for further study may be available depending on business needs and performance.\n\nWe’re proud to be recognised as a Disability Confident Level 3 Employer—the highest level in the UK Government’s scheme.
