About the Role: This is a role within the Castrol organisation and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership. Castrol is seeking a highly analytical and commercially astute FP&A Advisor, Board to play a critical role in shaping how financial and operational performance is understood at the highest level of the organisation. In this role, you will provide clear, insight-led financial advice to the Board, supporting informed decision-making and long-term value creation in line with Castrol’s “Onward, Upward, Forward” strategy. You will translate complex financial and operational data into compelling narratives, enabling senior leaders to effectively assess performance, risks, and opportunities. This is a high-visibility, senior individual contributor position within a $1.2bn EBITDA global business, offering the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and influence strategic outcomes. What You’ll Do: Lead the creation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual Board reporting packs, presenting financial and operational performance clearly and concisely Translate complex data into meaningful insights, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance trends Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), explaining variances against budgets and forecasts Provide forward-looking analysis and performance outlooks, supporting strategic decision-making Collaborate with business divisions and functional teams to understand underlying performance drivers Partner closely with the central PPM team to ensure alignment on financial delivery and insight Deliver clear, decision-ready narratives that support the Board’s understanding of financial health and strategic progress What We’re Looking For: Experience: Significant experience within finance / FP&A Proven ability to operate effectively with senior partners and Board-level audiences Strong track record in financial analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting Experience influencing decisions through insight, challenge, and storytelling Skills & Capabilities: Strong FP&A expertise including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning Ability to analyse large, complex datasets and translate them into clear, actionable insights Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for senior audiences High level of commercial competence and judgement, balancing financial discipline with business enablement Advanced Excel skills and experience with tools such as Power BI Strong partner management and relationship-building skills across global, cross-functional teams Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver under pressure Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global, and evolving environment Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related subject area Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred Desirable: Experience in Board or corporate-level reporting Strong business and commercial awareness within complex organisations Travel Requirement Negligible travel should be expected with this role Relocation Assistance: This role is not eligible for relocation Remote Type: This position is a hybrid of office/remote working Skills: Analysis and modelling, Analytics, Commercial Acumen, Commercial performance management, Communication, Data visualization and interpretation, Financial Analysis, Integrated Planning, Investment appraisal, Performance management Legal Disclaimer: We are an equal opportunity employer.
