You ll be employed by HomeCareDirect but will focus solely on supporting this client. This role is for 12 hours per week working 2 x 6hr shifts. Shifts are between 9am to 3pm between Monday and Friday to suit the needs of the client so flexibility is needed. About the Client & Your Responsibilities Our client is an intelligent thoughtful and engaging individual who sustained life-changing injuries as a result of a road traffic accident. He now requires full care support including all aspects of personal care moving and handling using a hoist and help with preparing and cooking food. He is an academic with a doctorate in philosophy and has a strong interest in technology particularly in the areas of computing and artificial intelligence. He enjoys learning and welcomes PA s who are open to conversations on a wide range of topics. Our client plays an active role in managing a woodland area and enjoys nature-based activities such as wildlife observation and tree planting. PA s will be expected to support and accompany him to take part in these activities which are an important part of his life so you should be a driver with a full UK driving licence. Training & Support We provide comprehensive paid training (to CQC standards) before your start date covering: • Full induction, • Safeguarding Adults, • First Aid / Food Hygiene, • Pressure Area Care / Infection Control / Moving & Handling with Hoist, • Personal Care / Catheter Care / Bowel Care / Suppositories, • Medication Administering / Cough Assist / Ventilation, • Mental Health / Epilepsy / Spinal Injury / Autonomic Dysreflexia All training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at 14.40 per hour.
