Job Description – HR Manager – 12 month FTC Contract Details Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract Location and working pattern: Flexible hybrid, three days per week in our Chiswick Business Park office Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum Overview The HR Manager (12-month FTC) supports the smooth day-to-day running of HR across 4GLOBAL. This is a hands-on operational role, ideal for someone with around 7 to 8 years’ HR generalist experience who is confident owning HR processes end to end, especially global recruitment (mix of direct hiring and agency support), onboarding, HR administration, and employee lifecycle activity. Operating in a fast-paced and growing business, the role partners closely with leaders and managers to provide pragmatic HR guidance, maintain strong HR governance, and ensure a positive and compliant employee experience across regions. Key Responsibilities HR Operations and Employee Lifecycle: • Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees across the business, handling queries and delivering a consistent, high-quality employee experience., • Own core HR processes including onboarding, probation, changes to terms, leavers, documentation, and HR inbox management., • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data quality across the HRIS, including reporting and regular audits of key fields. Recruitment and Onboarding (Global): Manage end-to-end recruitment delivery across multiple regions, including: • Direct sourcing and internal recruitment activity (screening, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, candidate experience)., • Managing external recruiters on contingency roles, including briefing, shortlisting, feedback loops, and process control., • Draft and post job adverts, coordinate interview processes, manage candidate communications, and support offer preparation., • Own onboarding coordination, ensuring new starters are set up effectively and have a smooth first-week experience. Policies, Processes, and Compliance: • Support the upkeep of the HR handbook, policies, and procedures, ensuring they remain accurate, practical, and aligned to local requirements., • Ensure HR processes are followed consistently and escalations are raised appropriately where matters are higher risk or complex., • Support basic compliance activity (right to work checks, documentation, training tracking where relevant). Employee Relations Support (Operational) • Provide first-line support on day-to-day employee relations matters (attendance, conduct, performance, grievances), using templates and existing processes., • Escalate complex cases to senior leadership or external support where required, ensuring risks are flagged early and handled appropriately. Performance and Engagement Support • Coordinate the annual performance review cycle and support managers with timelines, systems, and completion tracking., • Support delivery of practical engagement activity (communications, surveys, recognition initiatives) and help drive follow-through on actions. Compensation and Reward Support • Coordinate the year-end compensation process, including gathering inputs, tracking approvals, and ensuring changes are accurately reflected in HRIS and payroll., • Collect and maintain benchmark data to support pay decisions, working with internal and external sources as needed., • Partner with leadership to support updates to salary, commission, and bonus structures for relevant teams, ensuring changes are clearly documented, communicated appropriately, and implemented consistently., • Prepare summary materials and reporting to support compensation discussions and decision-making. Stakeholder Management • Build effective working relationships with managers and leadership, providing clear, practical guidance and ensuring HR processes run smoothly., • Work closely with Finance and Operations on payroll inputs, contract changes, starters and leavers, and benefits administration support. Experience and Skills • Circa 7 to 8 years’ experience in a hands-on HR generalist role, ideally within a fast-moving SME or scaling business., • Strong experience delivering recruitment end to end, including direct hiring and managing agencies, ideally across multiple geographies., • Solid working knowledge of HR operations and employee lifecycle processes; confident producing documentation and managing a high volume of activity., • Practical understanding of employment law and ER processes, with a clear awareness of when to escalate., • Comfortable working with HR systems (HRIS) and maintaining clean, accurate data; confident producing reports., • Highly organised, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities with pace and attention to detail., • Clear communicator with a professional and approachable style.
