We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join the Duty & Assessment Team providing vital support to children young people and families across Windsor & Maidenhead. In this frontline role you will manage a diverse caseload involving Child Protection Child in Need and Looked After Children. You will conduct statutory assessments direct work with families undertake Section 47 enquiries and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding arrangements. This is a fast-paced and rewarding team where social workers are supported to deliver high-quality practice that protects children promotes positive outcomes and upholds their right to safety and wellbeing. • Undertake Child and Family Assessments in line with Section 17 and Section 47 requirements., • Visit children and families to assess risk strengths and protective factors., • Develop safety plans and implement interventions to safeguard children., • Lead and contribute to strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings., • Manage a caseload of CIN/CP/LAC cases ensuring timely progression and effective outcomes., • Prepare and present reports for statutory meetings including Initial Child Protection Conferences Core Groups and CIN meetings., • Support looked-after children through care planning and placement work., • Maintain detailed and accurate case records in line with local policy and statutory requirements., • Prepare high-quality court reports including Section 7 and Section 37 reports., • Present cases to Legal Panel and contribute to PLO processes., • Complete viability assessments family network assessments and applications for emergency/temporary orders., • Work collaboratively with schools health services police voluntary agencies and other safeguarding partners., • Participate in family network meetings and support joint-working arrangements., • Build strong relationships with children young people and carers., • Work in accordance with Social Work England standards and statutory guidance., • Participate in supervision development sessions and reflective practice opportunities., • Contribute to a culture of high-quality practice learning and improvement., • Social Work qualification (CQSW DipSW BA/MA Social Work or equivalent)., • Active Social Work England registration., • Evidence of continuing professional development., • Experience working with CIN/CP/LAC caseloads., • Strong ability to build effective relationships with children and families., • Confident in assessing risk and applying evidence-based decision making., • Experience preparing detailed reports for courts conferences and panels., • Knowledge of childrens safeguarding legislation and statutory frameworks., • Ability to manage complex caseloads and work under pressure., • Proficiency with ICT systems including case management tools., • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes., • Compassionate resilient and child-centred approach., • Strong communication and negotiation skills., • Ability to work flexibly independently and with professional curiosity., • Commitment to positive outcomes for children and young people., • Enhanced DBS Check, • Proof of Right to Work in the UK, • Professional registration verification (Social Work England), • Satisfactory references, • Driving licence and vehicle access (for practice requirements), • Make a meaningful difference to children and families at critical points in their lives., • Join a supportive team committed to high-quality relationship-based practice., • Access ongoing training supervision and professional development opportunities.
