Reports to: Senior Key Account Manager (UK) Location: Hybrid 2 days in the office / Hertfordshire-based with UK travel to trade shows Hours: 30 hours per week, ideally 6 hours a day across 5 days 9am - 3.00pm. Salary: £25,000–£28,000 for 30 hours (pro rata; £36,000–£40,000 FTE) Role Overview We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join the passionate team at Evolve Organic Beauty. We are looking for a commercially focused, proactive, and organised Business Development Executive to help grow Evolve Organic Beauty’s UK independent wholesale business. This role is central to expanding our presence across independent health food stores, pharmacies, gifting boutiques, and small professional stockists. You will manage inbound enquiries, convert new leads, and nurture smaller and mid-tier wholesale accounts. You will play a key role in implementing our 2026 UK Independent Sales Strategy — driving outreach, following up trade show leads, and activating new accounts. This role would suit someone with experience in sales or account management who enjoys building relationships, balancing organisation with creativity, and who is confident working both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team. Key Responsibilities 1. Inbound Enquiries & Account Activation • Respond promptly to inbound wholesale and professional stockist enquiries., • Qualify and convert leads into active wholesale and professional stockist accounts., • Support customer onboarding via Shopify Wholesale, ensuring smooth setup and access to trade toolkits. 2. Outbound Sales & Lead Generation • Research and contact new potential stockists in the health food, pharmacy, and gifting sectors., • Follow up all leads from trade shows (e.g. NHT Manchester, Autumn Fair) and marketing campaigns., • Maintain a structured outreach pipeline through the CRM system, tracking follow up, conversion and performance. 3. Account Management • Build relationships with wholesale mid-tier accounts that do not have regular contact with senior sales. Liaise with them to develop their annual trade marketing calendars and discuss any additional needs., • Act as the main point of contact for all small independent customers in the UK, • Working closely with UK Senior Key Account Manager, develop a trade marketing plan for all small independent wholesale accounts to be communicated via email. 4. Trade Shows & Events • Attend key UK trade shows alongside the Senior Key Account Manager and Brand Ambassadors., • Capture, qualify, and follow up on new leads post-event., • Support event planning and ensure promotional materials, samples, and collateral are prepared. 5. FAIRE & Wholesale Platform Management • Respond to customer enquiries through FAIRE UK, ensuring accurate and professional communication., • Work closely with our Sales Analyst to monitor FAIRE sales performance and analytics., • Support listing accuracy and product visibility, ensuring FAIRE links correctly to Shopify Wholesale., • Identify opportunities for FAIRE promotions or sampling campaigns and coordinate with marketing and operations. 6. CRM & Reporting • Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer and lead data in the CRM system., • Log all outreach activity and report on key KPIs regularly., • Work with our Sales Analyst to interpret sales data, ensuring performance metrics are visible to the team. 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Collaborate with Marketing on promotional assets, trade materials, and trade marketing and email campaigns for independent wholesalers., • Liaise with Operations to ensure smooth fulfilment and timely order processing., • Work with the E-commerce team to align product data and pricing across Shopify Wholesale and FAIRE. Essential • Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in FMCG, beauty, or wellness., • Experience in the beauty or skincare sector., • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a confident phone manner., • Highly organised, with excellent time and pipeline management., • Comfortable using CRM tools, ecommerce platforms, spreadsheets, and digital communication systems., • Understanding of B2B e-commerce or retail operations., • Familiarity with trade shows, wholesale platforms (FAIRE, Shopify), or distributor partnerships, • Number of new active accounts created per quarter., • Conversion rate of inbound enquiries and trade show leads., • Reorder rate within three months of first purchase., • Growth in mid-tier account revenue., • CRM accuracy and lead tracking compliance., • Competitive base £25- 28 k for 30 hours plus up to 10 % performance bonus, • 25 days paid holiday + 8 bank holidays pro rated to 30 hours, • NEST pension (3 % employer contribution of pensionable salary),, • Health cash plan & life assurance, • Generous product allowance, • Hands-on experience across multiple retail and digital channels., • Opportunities to attend UK trade events and develop commercial experience., • Collaborative, mission-driven team culture.
