We are looking for a Senior Technical Claims Advisor to use their motor vehicle mechanical expertise to help guide our clients through the appropriate claims process. As a key part of the APG team you will be responsible for guiding claimants through the relevant claims process giving expert advice regarding suitable repairers and relevant liabilities. The role The key responsibilities you could be looking after include: • Provide accurate claims advice across a variety of products and the processes involved within your handling limit, • Other reasonable duties as required., • Resolve claims across a variety of platforms, telephone, email and online, • Collect accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim remaining within Average Claims Spend, • Understanding our various customers’ requirements and working with them to ensure they are properly dealt with, • Maintain company service levels and deliver on set KPI’s, • Consider and validate High Value Claims in accordance with AP referral process, • Provide technical advice and support to the Claims Team, • Provide support to the Sales team by providing accurate and timely information, • Provide professional and friendly service, • Ensure fair settlement of a valid claim, • Service in accordance with industry and company guidelines, • Handle any complaints associated with a claim as per the complaints process and carry out any Manager Call backs, • Manage all administration aspects of the claim including exception reports Our ideal candidate • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, • A high level of literacy and numeracy, • Active listening skills, • Initiative and the ability to adapt quickly to different situations, • Good written and oral communication skills, • Ability to work effectively under pressure both within a team or on own initiative, • Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Technical knowledge i.e. repairs, maintenance and diagnostics, • Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, • Good understanding of voice/soft skill, • Technical qualification such as City and Guilds NVQ in relevant subject Preferred: • Experience in an FCA regulated environment, • A background in insurance product administration and claims resolution Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship for work permits. We're seeking a Marketing and Comms Executive to build our profile as a recognised and trusted charity that people want to support, and that young people turn to as they navigate their cancer journey. We're preparing to launch a capital appeal to open the UK’s first dedicated retreat for teenagers and young adults diagnosed with cancer. Alongside this, we're broadening our local and national presence, developing our retail outlet, and building strong partnerships with major brands. Who you are You're a motivated marketeer with experience in the sector, or a relevant qualification, and you're ready to flourish in your career. You'll be a strong and versatile writer with a flair for producing clear, compelling copy across a variety of platforms, and a genuine enthusiasm for effective communication. Working closely with the Brand and Comms Manager, you'll take the lead on written outputs across the full marketing mix – from drafting and publishing our regular newsletter, supporting our capital appeal, to writing engaging campaign content that raises awareness locally and nationally.
