    We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Strategy/Governance Consultant Assistant to support the delivery of data governance, data quality, and data strategy initiatives across a range of client projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in data consulting, working alongside experienced consultants to help organisations improve the way they manage, protect, and use their data. The successful candidate will assist with data governance frameworks, policy documentation, data quality assessments, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination while gaining exposure to industry-leading practices in data management and governance. This reflects the types of responsibilities commonly found in data governance consulting roles. Key Responsibilities • Support consultants in delivering data strategy and governance projects., • Assist in developing and maintaining data governance policies, standards, and procedures., • Help document business processes, data flows, and data ownership models., • Support data quality assessments and monitor data accuracy, consistency, and completeness., • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders., • Participate in workshops, meetings, and stakeholder interviews., • Maintain project documentation, action logs, and governance records., • Assist with data cataloguing, metadata management, and business glossary updates., • Conduct research into data management best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies., • Work collaboratively with business analysts, data engineers, architects, and project managers. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, Law, or a related discipline., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities., • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office 365., • Basic understanding of SQL or data analysis is desirable., • Interest in data governance, data management, AI governance, compliance, or business consulting., • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a collaborative environment. Desirable Skills • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau., • Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles., • Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK., • Exposure to Azure, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or similar data governance tools is advantageous but not essential.
