Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer required in Cheltenham, Salary: £46,000 per annum, Hours: Weekly rotating 3-shift pattern covering 05:00am – 01:00am (8-hour shifts, 9 hours on site including 2 x 15-minute paid breaks and 1 x 30-minute unpaid break), full-time permanent contract, immediate start available following a successful interview process. Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills? We are looking for an experienced engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site in Cheltenham. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, supporting site operations through breakdown response, planned maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.The Role As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of production and site equipment to ensure minimal downtime and consistent output. You will work closely with production teams, applying fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems. The ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic drawings is a core requirement of this role.Key Responsibilities: • Provide reactive breakdown support across the site, • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), • Diagnose and repair faults on electrical and mechanical systems, • Work on motors, gearboxes, conveyors, chain drives, pumps and bearings, • Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics, • Support production teams to maintain output and efficiency, • Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping, • Support continuous improvement and engineering projects as requiredCandidate Requirements:, • Multi-skilled maintenance engineer (approximately 60/40 mechanical or electrical bias either way), • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced engineering or production environment, • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capability, • Experience working with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, • Working knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery, • Basic knowledge of inverters and control systems, • Pneumatics experience, • Ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic drawings, • Relevant engineering and/or electrical qualifications, • Good understanding of health & safetyDesirable Experience:, • Steam boilers, • Steam and condensate systems, • Heat exchangers, • Water treatment or soft water systemsWhat’s on Offer:, • £46,000 per annum, • Full-time, permanent position, • Weekly rotating 3-shift pattern, • Stable role within a well-established manufacturing environmentInterested?
