Multi-Skilled Site Engineer - Up to £50,000 Location: Fenchurch Street Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Split Shift (06:00–15:00 / 09:00–18:00) Alice Rose Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Site Engineer to join a professional engineering maintenance team on a high-profile commercial building in Fenchurch Street. Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, this role will suit a technically strong, hands-on engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience, capable of delivering a first-class Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance service within a critical commercial environment. Flexibility is essential, as occasional works may be required outside of normal working hours to maintain business continuity. Multi-Skilled Site Engineer Responsibilities: As a Multi-Skilled Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and performance of all building services systems on site, while maintaining full compliance with Health & Safety and statutory requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems, • Taking ownership of ensuring all scheduled PPMs are completed on time, • Fault finding, maintenance, and optimisation of building services plant, • Building Management Systems (BMS) monitoring and electrical systems oversight, • Lighting and lighting control systems, • Air handling units, air conditioning, and FCUs, • Domestic water services and cooling towers, • Fire systems including fire alarms, voice alarms, VESDA, suppression, and sprinklers, • Variable speed drives, • Generators, load banks, and associated controls, • AC/DC single and three-phase motors, • UPS systems, batteries, static switches, and associated controls, • Emergency lighting and low-voltage switch panels, • Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and site stakeholders, • Supporting minor installation and modification works when required, • You will also act as a point of contact for escalations and contribute to maintaining strong client relationships on site. Multi-Skilled Site Engineer Requirements: • Proven experience within commercial building services or facilities maintenance, • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability, • Recognised engineering qualifications – NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent, • Apprenticeship-trained (preferred), • Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance within SLA environments, • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, • IT literate (basic use of systems such as CAFM, Excel, Word) What’s on Offer: Monday to Friday role with structured split shifts Long-term stability on a high-quality commercial site Opportunity to work within a technically varied and well-supported environment Ongoing training and development opportunities Clear route for progression within the engineering and maintenance structure
