Job Description An exciting opportunity has become available in our very busy family-run business where we require a Part-Time Telephone Sales Person to help secure and process new customer orders Key Responsibilities • Contacting potential customers to secure new product orders, • Building relationships with customers and conducting follow-up calls to confirm their satisfaction, • Obtaining a detailed understanding of customer requirements, • Acquiring good product knowledge, • Maintaining an accurate database with up-to-date customer information, call records, and sales reports. You may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to the post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed. Working week Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm ddHSS is a family-owned business, specialising in the sale of workwear, embroidered clothing, safety footwear and equipment and PPE. We have been trading for over 40 years from premises in the centre of Norwich, during which time we have built up an enviable reputation for providing excellent customer service and in-depth product knowledge to businesses throughout East Anglia. Our success is largely due to our exceptional team of knowledgeable and friendly staff whose long service and loyalty is also testament to the way we conduct our business. The core competences of the Company are as follows: • Qualified and trained staff in Health and Safety, with Membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management – our employees receive specialist training in the products we sell from our supplier Manufacturers., • Extensive experience in the PPE trade with our four senior team members having built up over 80 years of specialist product knowledge., • Direct links to all our major supplier help lines and established Dealerships with international brands including, Portwest, Beeswift, Polyco, Fristads, Footsure, Sterling, Helly Hansen, Moldex and many more., • We place Customer Satisfaction at the forefront of everything we do and this is the key message in the training and development of our team., • We have our own on-site embroidery and logo equipment department which gives us the fullest control over the complete customer order., • Local delivery service – we are able to provide a service of same day delivery from stock if requested in the Norwich area with a next day service out of the area by Carrier service., • Our Company IT equipment is modern and well-maintained with our software package (SAGE) being backed up daily. We also have an emergency total loss recovery package with our insurers in the event that disaster/business interruption takes place. You will have the following skills: • Excellent communication skills with a pleasant telephone manner, • Good organisational skills with attention to detail, • Good IT skills and understanding of Microsoft Office, • Professional approach to work, • Ability to follow guidance and instructions, • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work, • Ability to use own initiative, • Ability to work as part of a team You will need to be: • Well-presented, professional and polite, • Friendly and helpful in manner, • Flexible, punctual and reliable, • Enthusiastic and motivated, • Adaptable to change, • Honest and trustworthy The Salary for this post will be dependent on experience. Holiday entitlement 20 days plus bank holidays
