As a Retail Sales Leader, you will take ownership of a high-visibility physical retail environment, leading a team on site, driving sales results, and representing the Mood London brand every day. This is a hands-on leadership role — present on the floor, selling, coaching, and setting the standard. Hitting the Ground Running This role requires momentum from the outset. From day one, you will be expected to: • Learn quickly and immerse yourself in our products, sales approach, and customer journey, • Sell confidently on the floor alongside your team, • Build credibility and authority through presence, pace, and performance • Begin coaching and improving team performance in real time You will be supported with structure and training, but this role suits someone comfortable learning fast, taking ownership early, and leading from the front. Energy, credibility, integrity, and leadership mindset cannot. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities As a Retail Sales Leader, you are responsible for the commercial performance, people leadership, operational standards, and brand representation of your location. 1. Sales Performance & Commercial Delivery • Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets, • Create energy, urgency, and momentum on the floor, • Translate targets into clear, numeric actions for each team member • Sell alongside the team when required, • Adjust tactics in real time to protect performance, • Execute product launches and key trading moments to target Expectation: Sales targets are consistently pursued and delivered through active leadership, pace, and presence. 1. Customer Experience & Sales Journey Execution • Deliver the Mood London customer and sales journeys consistently • Coach the team to sell with confidence, intent, and credibility • Own mystery shop results and NPS performance, • Balance premium presentation with strong commercial focus Expectation: Selling standards are visible, coached daily, and continuously improved. 1. Operational Excellence, Control & Reporting • Maintain premium visual standards at all times, • Ensure accurate stock control and compliant POS usage, • Deliver zero stock loss, • Deliver zero incorrect or inaccurate POS entries, • Complete all daily operational routines, including check-ins • Report sales, KPIs, and performance accurately and on time to the wider business Expectation: The location is well-presented, tightly controlled, compliant, and consistently reported on. 1. People Leadership, Onboarding & Retention • Lead and assess all 2-day recruitment trials, • Take full ownership of onboarding quality and early performance • Deliver and sign off the 4-week Foundation Training Programme • Ensure all employees with more than four weeks’ service pass the Mood Foundation Exam, • Complete internal performance reviews accurately and on time • Retain and grow high-performing people Retention target: Quarterly team turnover is maintained below 10%. Expectation: New starters are set up to succeed, strong performers are developed, and avoidable attrition is reduced. 1. Footfall Engagement & Opportunity Creation • Lead proactive engagement with passing footfall, • Ensure the team actively participates during quieter trading periods • Drive participatory browsing rather than passive waiting, • Identify local opportunities to increase visibility and engagement Expectation: Opportunity is actively created, not passively awaited. 1. Brand Representation & Culture Leadership • Act as a visible brand ambassador at all times, • Set the standard in personal presentation and professionalism • Live and reinforce company values and culture, • Support the wider business as required, including flexibility across locations • Complete other reasonable requests aligned to company strategy Expectation: The brand is represented with credibility, care, and consistency — internally and externally. 1. Product Knowledge & Credibility • Build strong product and fragrance knowledge, • Be able to speak about fragrance at a technical level, • Coach the team to sell with authority and confidence Full training is provided — curiosity and commitment are essential. What Success Looks Like • Sales targets are met consistently, • The team is stable, engaged, and improving, • New starters onboard effectively and stay, • Operational and visual standards remain high, • The team remains energetic and proactive during quieter periods • Customers receive a confident, premium experience, • You grow with the business as Mood London evolves Salary & Reward This role offers a competitive basic salary with significant uncapped earning potential. • Basic salary:dependent on experience, • Commission: Uncapped, performance-based, • Earnings potential: High-performing Retail Sales Leaders can earn £60,000+ annually Commission is a core part of the reward structure and reflects the sales-led nature of the role. Salary and reward are reviewed following probation, with progression linked to performance, capability, and contribution.
