Grounds Maintenance Operative Evesham, Worcestershire Salary: £26,000 39 hours per week | Rotating shift pattern Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well?kept environments, and is looking for a stable, long?term career? We're offering a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Grounds Maintenance Operative, helping us deliver essential facilities services for one of the UK's most important sectors. As part of our dedicated team, you'll play a vital role in keeping the grounds operating to the highest standards. The Role You'll work as part of the facilities team delivering a wide range of outdoor maintenance and horticultural tasks, including: • Grass cutting, hedge trimming, leaf clearance and litter picking, • Weed spraying and general planting, pruning and seeding, • Light landscaping and tree?care duties, • Setting out and maintaining sports pitches (grass, tarmac & synthetic), • Equipment checks and safe operation of light plant and power tools, • Erecting and dismantling equipment, • Painting and basic repairs to outdoor equipment, • Drainage works and general grounds upkeep, • Supporting local and business Zero Carbon initiatives The Responsibilities We're looking for someone dependable, proactive and safety conscious, with: • A full UK driving licence, • Experience in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance, • Weed?spraying certificate (PA1/PA6 desirable), • Confidence operating light machinery, equipment and wheeled tractors, • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, • Chainsaw-related qualifications (CS30, CS31 or CS34), • Ability to work well in a team and follow safe working practices, • Security Clearance is required The Benefits • Competitive salary with annual review potential, • 24+ days holiday plus bank holidays (with the option to buy more), • Generous pension scheme with additional employer contributions, • Comprehensive training & development, including funded leadership programmes, • Clear progression pathways across FM and supervisory roles, • Access to flexible benefits: insurance options, Cycle2Work, discounted gyms, • Exclusive retail & wellbeing discounts via our online portal, • Two paid Social Impact Days each year for volunteering, • Family-friendly policies and supportive workplace culture, • Free on?site parking and catering facilities JBRP1_UKTJ
