DDSL & Inclusion Lead Full Time – Term Time Only (37.5 hours per week) Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm Are you passionate about safeguarding, inclusion, and making a real difference to children and families? An established and nurturing primary academy in Doncaster is seeking a highly skilled and proactive DDSL & Inclusion Lead to join its dedicated pastoral team. The Role As the school’s Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and Inclusion Lead, you will play a vital role in safeguarding, pastoral care, and early intervention. You will be central to the school’s commitment to ensuring every child is safe, supported, and able to access education without barriers. A key part of the role will involve acting as the school’s Early Help Practitioner, leading on Early Help Assessments, coordinating multi-agency support, and ensuring timely, effective interventions for families. Essential Experience The ideal candidate must have experience using the Doncaster Local Authority Mosaic platform, as a significant proportion of the role involves completing Early Help referrals and managing Early Help cases effectively. Key Responsibilities • Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting the DSL with all safeguarding duties., • Serve as the school’s Early Help Practitioner, completing referrals, assessments, and coordinating support plans., • Lead and contribute to inclusion strategies, ensuring children’s social, emotional, and behavioural needs are met., • Work closely with external agencies, ensuring effective communication and joint planning., • Maintain accurate case records using the Mosaic platform., • Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and staff to positively influence behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing., • Support class cover on occasion when required.What We’re Looking For, • Proven safeguarding knowledge and experience supporting vulnerable children and families., • Competence with Doncaster LA’s Mosaic system is essential., • Strong understanding of Early Help processes and multi-agency working., • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills., • A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach., • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a committed pastoral team.What the School Offers, • A warm, supportive, and forward-thinking staff team., • Opportunities for professional development in safeguarding and inclusion., • A role where you can make a genuine, lasting difference to children’s lives.
