If the answer is yes, then this could be the role for you.\n\nAs a Meter Reader you will be responsible for collecting data from gas, electricity meters for both commercial and residential properties. You will update meter reads accurately throughout the day on your handheld device, also entering the details on a handheld device at each location and providing excellent customer service.\n\nWhat we offer:\n\n· £13.45 - 14.80 per hour basic pay (weekly payment)\n\n· Weekly Hours 37.5 hours a week with flexible start and finish times Monday - Friday between 8am - 8pm.\n\n· £27,000 to £31,000 average annual earnings.\n\n· Progression and promotion opportunities for higher earnings -( 360 technical Meter Reader, Auditor, Gas and Electric Engineer, Field Assistant manager, Field Manager.\n\n· Weekly Bonus scheme with earnings up to £250 weekly.\n\n· Overtime rates at manager's discretion.\n\n· Business expenses reimbursed at 30.05 pence per mile.\n\n· Company pension enrolment.\n\n· No previous experience required.\n\n· Up to 28 days holiday per year.\n\n· Full uniform and PPE provided.\n\n· Full training will be provided.\n\n· Double pay on Bank Holidays\n\nWhat you will need to apply\n\nEssential requirements for the role: \n\n· UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points\n\nPhysically fit and have no issues with bending in tight spaces, lifting or kneeling, climbing stairs, crouching, and walking on average 3-5 miles a day.\nHappy to work in all weather conditions.\nClear DBS check (no unspent criminal convictions)\nPrevious Customer Service experience (preferred not essential)· Access to your own vehicle\n\n· Basic Business insurance.\n\nDuties:\n\nRetrieving data from domestic, commercial, and industrial sites for Gas and Electric Meters, full training will be given.· Carry out visual inspections of associated metering equipment.\n\nCharge Point Surveys.\nDrive and motivation to work in an independent role.\nFriendly personality with a professional approach to work.\nAdhering to Health and Safety guidelines at all times.Training:\n\nTraining is 1 week and will be both classroom-based and field-based with an experienced meter reader, so you get to see the job through a professional's eyes.
