This is an exciting opportunity to support sourcing activities for major projects, capital delivery, and operational services, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and frameworks while driving value for the business. What You Will Be Responsible For • Gather and analyse internal and external data to support the delivery of category and sub-category strategies., • Drive cost reductions through aggregation, standardisation, and minimising spot buys/tail spend., • Engage with stakeholders to support procurement processes, including running sourcing events and providing guidance on compliance., • Deliver against financial targets and KPIs while ensuring adherence to procurement governance., • Support mini competitions and sourcing activities for capital delivery projects and professional services., • Conduct supplier due diligence and negotiations to secure capacity and capability for delivery. Essential What you’ll bring to the role: • Strong category management experience and knowledge of leading-practice tools and techniques., • Knowledge of procurement processes in the public sector, including the frameworks and regulations surrounding them, e.g. PA23, • Experience working in either the public sector (e.g. local council), another regulated industry (e.g. oil & gas) or the construction industry., • Proven ability to analyse complex data and develop actionable insights., • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) and ability to build effective relationships., • Commercial awareness with strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills. Bring us your capability, and we’ll help you take it much, much further What you'll be doing As a Maintenance Manager, You Will • Ensure the smooth and safe operation of all building services within the East Slope and West Slope student accommodation developments., • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety systems., • Lead on reactive maintenance, ensuring timely response to resident and facility requests., • Schedule and manage routine inspections and compliance tasks (EICR, gas safety, fire alarms, lifts, etc.)., • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and statutory records., • Act as the Authorised Person (low voltage, mechanical), Responsible Person (Water), and COSHH coordinator., • Manage and mentor a technical team, supporting skill development and ensuring high standards of workmanship., • Liaise with external contractors and stakeholders, managing contracts and ensuring quality service delivery., • Develop and monitor KPIs, prepare regular reports, and drive continuous improvement., • Assist with building refurbishments, upgrades, and planned expansion projects., • Maintain statutory compliance with health, safety, and building regulations, overseeing risk assessments and audits. Who we're looking for Qualifications • HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering., • IOSH or NEBOSH accreditation (desirable)., • Membership of a chartered body (desirable). Experience • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance management., • Proven track record in managing technical teams, PPM systems, and compliance., • Experience managing external contractors effectively. Skills & Competencies • Technical competence across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire systems., • Strong leadership, people management, and interpersonal skills., • Excellent organisational, planning, and budgeting capabilities., • Proficient in building management and FM software systems.
