NSB Recruitment is partnering with a respected, independent environmental consultancy to appoint an experienced Ecologist with strong bat expertise. You will take a lead role in delivering bat-focused surveys, assessments and mitigation, while contributing to a diverse portfolio of terrestrial ecology projects across development, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. The Role • You will enjoy a varied and autonomous position where you will:, • Lead and deliver bat surveys, assessments and mitigation strategies, • Provide expert technical advice on bat licensing, habitat enhancement and mitigation design, • Coordinate and oversee field programmes, data analysis and reporting, • Produce high-quality technical reports and ecology chapters for planning submissions, • Support a range of wider ecology work, including protected species and habitat assessments, • Build positive relationships with clients, stakeholders and regulators, • Mentor junior team members and support their professional development, • Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to a high technical standard About You • Experienced Ecologist with strong bat ecology expertise (licence holder or working towards), • Sound understanding of UK wildlife legislation, policy and guidance, • Proven experience delivering and managing ecology projects, • Strong technical report writing and data interpretation skills, • Confident communicator, capable of building trust with clients and regulators, • Positive, organised and collaborative, with a passion for high-quality ecological outcomes, • CIEEM membership (or working towards) is desirable Why Apply?
