Goodbye Horses is a wine bar on a leafy street in De Beauvoir Town, London. We believe wine should be fun, living and as close to zero-zero as possible - meaning nothing added, nothing removed. We have an extensive glass selection and a convivial food menu. We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to come and join the team. The ideal candidate will have at least a few years experience in a managerial role within a similar venue - with a good-to-great knowledge of natural wines, a casual, fun, yet professional approach to service, and experience working alongside a small and very busy kitchen. We opened in August last year so opening experience is valued, alongside the passion for developing and leading a FOH team of about 12, with around 7 on during the busiest periods. Service is all about effortlessly getting the details right, so a keen eye and a proactive management style is key to this role. You will be joining a team with great passion and enthusiasm for the project. There is an abundance of wine knowledge onsite, weekly trainings and tastings, and cost price wine. This role would be excellent for someone looking to yet further their wine knowledge. Discuss design, alteration, or repair needs with customers to ensure their specifications are clearly understood and met. Take accurate body measurements using a tape measure for tailoring and custom garment construction. Record customer measurements, preferences, and instructions in detail to guide the tailoring process. Attach labels to each garment to prevent errors and ensure correct handling. Modify garments based on customer requests, such as tapering pants, lining sheer fabrics, removing pockets, or adding padding. Alter garments for better fit and comfort, including shortening sleeves or straps, narrowing lapels, and adjusting seams. Repair garments by sewing tears, patching holes, and replacing damaged parts. Construct custom garments and provide customers with cost estimates based on their design ideas and requirements.

MUST have proven experience in driving large vans and working as a removals driver in the past, be ready to do a lot of heavy lifting, speak English, must be over 25 years old and hold British or EU driving licence for at least 2 years. Living in north London would be an advantage. This job also requires a lot of flexibility as the hours are irregular.

R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S o To supply the highest level of customer care and service whether in the public eye or in the back areas. o Prepare, cook, and serve any food delegated as your responsibility ensuring that the highest possible quality is maintained and that agreed standards for food preparation and presentation are met at all times. o To adhere to company procedures in regards to temperature checks, food labeling and dating, cleaning schedules, and hygiene regulations at all times and ensure that all records of such are updated and kept. o To assist with the acceptance and storage of deliveries and that all relevant company procedures are adhered to. o Ensure and maintain the work area clean, hygienic, and tidy state at all times. o To wear the full and correct uniform at all times whether in the public eye or back areas. o To have an understanding of menu planning, writing, and the implementation of stock controls and how this enables the kitchen to meet Gross Profit %. o To be familiar with the opening and closing procedures of the kitchen and carry them out as rotated. o To assist and ensure the junior chefs carry out daily and weekly procedures including temperature checks, food labeling/dating, and storage and to ensure records of such are up to date. o Ensure that temperature checks are carried out a minimum of 5 times per day and recorded. o To recognize the importance of good stock management/control and its importance in the kitchen meeting its Gross Profit %. o To remove any hazards and make safe any defects in the kitchen or equipment and report any problems to the Senior Chef on duty.

The job is simple. Need a porter to help load and unload items onto the van. Two things are very important for this job: 1. SPEED. There will be time spent driving around so you will have time to relax, however, SPEED will be required when its time to load and unload the van. 2. CARE. You will need to take care when lifting furniture to make sure you don't break the furniture or damage client property. You will be required to lift furniture, such as tables, sofas, washing machines etc therefore you will need to be strong enough to do this job. You will be required to lift light furniture such as chairs, bags etc by yourself but you will have someone with you when lifting large furniture.
