Children’s Home Registered Manager 📍 Gloucester 💷 Up to £52,500 per annum 🎁 £5,000 welcome bonus on successful registration 🏆 Annual performance bonus available We are recruiting an experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager to open and lead a new children’s home in Gloucester. This is an opportunity to shape a new residential service for young people who have experienced adversity, creating a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment where they can grow, stabilise, and thrive. The Role As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for leading the home, supporting your team, and ensuring young people receive high-quality care, safeguarding, and consistent support. You will: • Lead the opening and day-to-day running of a new children’s home, • Manage, motivate, and support a stable residential care team, • Ensure high standards of safeguarding, care, and quality assurance, • Create a warm, structured, and child-centred home environment, • Advocate strongly for young people and ensure their voices are heard, • Maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, • Prepare the service for registration, inspection, and ongoing regulatory scrutiny, • Drive continuous improvement across care practice, outcomes, and team performance, • Work collaboratively with professionals, families, and wider support networks About You We are looking for someone who has: • Experience managing or deputising within a children’s residential setting, • A strong track record of working with vulnerable children and young people, • Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework for children’s homes, • Strong safeguarding knowledge and a clear focus on quality, • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, • A hands-on, practical, and positive approach, • The ability to build a motivated team and create a stable home environment, • Strong attention to detail and confidence leading through challenge You will need: • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent, • Or willingness to begin the qualification within the required timeframe, • Eligibility to register with Ofsted as Registered Manager What’s the Offer: • Salary up to £52,500, depending on experience, • £5,000 welcome bonus paid on successful registration, • £5,000 annual bonus linked to quality and performance measures, • Additional holiday purchase scheme, • Management development and leadership training, • Ongoing professional development, • Free online learning resources, • Free meals while on shift, • Referral bonus scheme, • Employee recognition initiatives Personal Attributes This role would suit someone who is: • Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people, • Caring, approachable, and values-led, • Positive, resilient, and solution-focused, • Confident empowering others and developing staff, • Creative, practical, and able to lead with energy and purpose 📩 Apply now with your CV for a confidential conversation.
