This is a varied role working to support the different teams within the service and promoting Leeds Tele Care to support people to remain safe at home. support, direct and motivate the Tele Care Staff team across shift patterns., • Monitor service performance against TSA accreditation standards and Service Specifications., • Supervise senior and junior response centre operatives., • Use response centre call‑handling equipment to edit information and run required reports., • Train staff to handle calls as required., • Undertake call‑handling duties when required., • Implement Business Continuity and disaster recovery plans, directing staff to ensure service continuity., • Manage the rota to maintain appropriate staffing levels., • Assist in developing service procedures and working practices., • Investigate and respond to complaints per Leeds City Council’s Complaints policy., • Maintain knowledge of Telecare equipment and its benefits for independent living., • Keep up to date with new Telecare developments and promote advances to customers and partners., • Support marketing initiatives, write information leaflets and promote service growth in designated markets., • Represent Leeds City Council at regional and national events, giving presentations on the service., • Serve as key knowledge resource for equipment advice and signpost to other services., • Work with Assessors to identify required Telecare equipment through needs assessments., • Manage installations, including alarm call and peripheral equipment in customers’ homes, and maintain packages., • Demonstrate equipment use to customers and families, sometimes with manufacturers., • Train assessors on Telecare equipment and service procedures., • Assist in preparing procedure manuals and publicity material, ensuring updates are communicated., • Produce statistical reports on activity and performance, keeping records for monitoring., • Review partner agency reports, adjust Telecare packages as needed and notify agencies., • Provide secure key‑holding system for customers and communal keys, auditing key issue and return., • Coordinate with Service and Operational Managers to liaise with partners and build relationships., • Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying and completing documentation., • Adhere to financial procedures and maintain asset/equipment control., • Accurately maintain manual and computerised records related to stock control., • Order stock and assist with service budget management., • Sort returns of equipment, test equipment, and arrange cleaning and maintenance., • Maintain confidentiality in line with council policies., • Participate in training and development activities for self and team., • Undertake other duties as required., • Comply with all council and departmental policies, including health and safety procedures., • Ability to motivate, direct, support and supervise staff., • Prioritise workload and work independently while handling interruptions., • Plan, deliver and identify appropriate training for staff., • Assist the Operational Manager and Service Manager in developing the service., • Signpost to a range of services., • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with colleagues and public., • Identify customers at risk of harm under Safeguarding Adults policy., • Work with customers in their own homes sensitively., • Provide a flexible and responsive service., • Operate low‑level electrical equipment., • Use word‑processing and council programmes., • Maintain manual and computerised record systems., • Provide training on a one‑to‑one or group basis., • Manage the disaster recovery plan., • Execute the Business Continuity plan., • Safeguarding Adults procedures., • Needs of people experiencing barriers to independent living., • Support services for disabled people and carers., • Financial and stock control procedures in a large organisation., • Council’s financial regulations and procurement requirements., • Telecare solutions., • Council’s Complaints policy., • Attending and presenting at meetings at various levels., • Communicating effectively with a variety of people., • Using computerised information recording systems., • Working with staff from various agencies., • Working with customers with a range of needs.,
