Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEN | Birmingham\n\nTeaching Personnel is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in a purpose-built SEN school in North Birmingham, supporting pupils with EHCPs, including ASD, SEMH, and PMLD.\n\nThis full-time, term-time role is ideal for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in special educational needs (SEN) and for those considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, social care, or youth work.\n\nJob Details\n\nPay: £460–£495 per week (paid weekly)\n\nHours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm\n\nContract: Full-time, term-time\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide 1:1 and small-group SEN support\n\nSupport pupils with autism, social, emotional, and complex needs\n\nAssist teachers with lesson delivery and individual learning plans\n\nPromote positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion\n\nHelp maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment\n\nIdeal Candidate\n\nGraduate in any subject (Psychology, Education, Sociology, Sports Science, or related fields preferred)\n\nGenuine interest in working with children with special educational needs\n\nPatient, empathetic, and resilient\n\nStrong communication and teamwork skills\n\nPrevious experience with children or SEN is beneficial but not essential\n\nRequirements\n\nRight to work in the UK\n\nEnhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)\n\nApply now with your CV and start building a rewarding career while making a real difference in education.\n\nAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
