About your new role! This role will suit an experienced RVN who is a natural leader with a cool head, thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment, and enjoys all areas of hospital nursing and prides themselves in providing the highest standard of patient care. This is a full-time Monday to Friday position, including a 1:5 weekend rotation with TOIL and up to 2 bank holidays per year. You will be included in the manager on-call rotation for weekends and bank holidays, you are NOT required to attend the hospital when called. As Deputy Head RVN, some of your duties will include: • Be responsible for the daily coordination and allocation of duties and breaks for the nursing team, ensuring the provision of a high quality and continually improving standards of nursing care., • Be aware of the status of all hospitalised cases, the veterinary surgeon managing each case, new admits and pending patients for discharge., • Oversee and direct nursing staff in the preparation for use of specific work areas such as prep, theatres, and imaging suites.
