    Reporting to the Head of Properties, the Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the Centre and supporting operational tasks such as porterage and event setup. This role ensures a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment for all users and visitors. Key Responsibilities • Perform daily cleaning of all areas, including offices, meeting rooms, washrooms, kitchens, and public spaces., • Ensure floors, surfaces, and fixtures are cleaned and maintained to institutional standards., • Carry out deep cleaning tasks as scheduled (e.g., carpets, windows, high-level dusting)., • Monitor and replenish consumables (soap, paper towels, toilet rolls) promptly., • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as required., • Support event setup and breakdown, including preparing and displaying refreshments and arranging chairs, tables, and AV equipment., • Follow COSHH guidelines for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment., • Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately to the Head of Properties., • Respond to ad hoc cleaning or porterage requests promptly., • Support sustainability initiatives (e.g., waste segregation, recycling).     About the Role The Malayalee Association of the UK (MAUK) invites applications for a passionate, experienced and forward-thinking Principal to lead the London Academy of Dravidian Arts (LADA) — a specialist weekend performing arts academy dedicated to preserving, teaching and promoting the rich heritage of Dravidian classical and contemporary art forms including dance, music, drama and martial arts. Although LADA operates primarily on weekends the Principal role is a full-time leadership post (37.5 hours) responsible for year-round artistic direction, academy management, project delivery, performance planning, staff development, safeguarding, administration and community engagement. This is a rare opportunity to shape a growing arts academy with deep cultural roots and an ambitious vision for the future.     We’re always looking for new crew members to join us and help deliver the Ultra Challenge Series to high standards – with 18 or so unique events across the country during our event season. It’s fun & rewarding – with a range of roles that will suit those with previous outdoor event experience – or individuals looking to break into the world of events – or anyone who’s simply after interesting & worthwhile weekend work or volunteering. You will either have experience working on mass participation events, outdoors events, catering or hospitality experience, or you just feel you have what it takes to work as part of a team, and have the determination to thrive on events with a ‘can-do’ attitude. As work can sometimes be labour intensive – ideally you should be physically fit and be willing to help with some lifting! We are looking for someone who is reliable and wants to become part of a close-knit team putting on some of the UK’s best events. You will be at the core of our events team with different roles over the event weekend. This may include site set-up on the Thursday &/or Friday including some heavy lifting, setting up tents, gazebos, event branding, hospitality & merchandise areas, the registration zone and working to deadlines to get the event sites in great shape for participants. Over the weekend ‘event days’ it’s all about providing the best experience – ranging from: when they arrive, manning information/ registration areas/ hot drinks stations, timing, checking participants into the campsite, to presenting participants with their medals, t-shirts and a glass of fizz when they finish their challenge. You will learn on the job from our experienced Event Crew, and will have the option to select your preferred choice of working days when completing your event availability. We allocate shifts dependent on crew availability, and shift patterns for the event. We are seeking new crew members who can commit to work on several of our Ultra Challenge events over the season (which runs from late March – mid October) and to become part of our successful, fun event team. As you gain experience working on our events, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility as the event season progresses, and we are always on the lookout for Site Managers & Assistant Site Managers.
