Job Description Summary: The Information Technology (IT) Manager will research, order, install, maintain, and support College computer systems; ensure College-wide IT systems function properly; and maintain proper security measures. The IT manager will work closely with the IT technicians to ensure that all customer requests are handled in a timely manner and report to the IT and Facilities Director. Dixie Tech is a public technical college located on a state-of-the-art campus in St. George, Utah. The College has 30 Council on Occupational Education-accredited programs that offer certifications in high-demand, high-pay professions. The position has a salary of between $95,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Applications will be accepted through January 5, 2026. Report all violations immediately to HR or Student Services, • Manage the College's overall technology infrastructure, including local and wide area networks, telecommunications systems, servers, data storage solutions, firewalls, software applications, and related technologies., • Manage the technical design, evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of hardware, software, security tools, licensing, VMWare environments, and service/support contracts in collaboration with the IT Director., • Supervise, guide, and support campus IT employees in daily operations and professional development., • Oversee the monitoring, administration, and maintenance of network and system security., • Respond to technical assistance requests in person, by phone, and through electronic communication channels., • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently and accurately., • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations, laptops, networked peripherals, and related hardware/software systems., • Ensure proper cable management and organization of all computer and network cabling., • Recommend, schedule, and perform hardware and peripheral equipment upgrades, improvements, and repairs., • Research, recommend, and procure computer systems, components, and peripheral devices., • Perform imaging, configuration, and deployment of workstations, laptops, and tablets., • Assist in managing the IT ticketing system to track, prioritize, and document service requests and resolutions., • Assist in the development, maintenance, and inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, installed software, security incidents, repair history, and equipment deployment/retirement., • Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure consistent IT support across campus during all operating hours, including early morning and evening programs., • Maintain accurate inventories of all IT assets, including hardware, installed software, malware incidents, repair history, and installation/removal records., • Remain flexible and available to support College IT needs during all operating hours, including early mornings and evenings when necessary., • Identify and perform preventive maintenance on all IT systems and equipment., • Identify and resolve problems promptly and proactively., • Ensure compliance with all Dixie Tech policies and procedures., • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience, • 5 – 8 years' experience administering computer system infrastructure, • Excellent understanding of computer systems and network infrastructures., • Network+ Certification or equivalent, • Security + Certification or equivalent, • Preferred CompTIA A+ certification, • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required, • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, • The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less.
