The Position: We are seeking a Job Captain to join our Oakland studio and support the delivery of multi-family residential projects. This role plays a critical part in the technical development of projects, coordinating drawings, supporting the project team, and ensuring construction documentation is accurate and aligned with project requirements. The Job Captain will work closely with Project Managers, Architects, and consultants to move projects forward while maintaining high standards of quality, coordination, and design intent. • Job Captain – Architecture (Multi-Family), • Oakland, CA | Full-Time | Hybrid Schedule What You’ll Do • Assist in the development and coordination of construction documents for multi-family residential projects., • Prepare architectural drawings and support documentation across multiple project phases., • Coordinate with engineering consultants to ensure integrated and accurate project documentation., • Work with project teams to maintain design intent while ensuring technical accuracy., • Review and interpret drawings to confirm consistency and coordination across disciplines., • Support project managers with drawing organization, redlines, and document revisions., • Participate in project meetings and incorporate feedback into project documentation., • Maintain project standards and contribute to quality control across documentation sets. What You Need (Qualifications) • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field., • 3–6+ years of architectural experience, preferably within an architecture firm environment., • Experience working on multi-family residential or mixed-use housing projects required., • Strong experience producing construction documents., • Proficiency in Revit and BIM-based workflows., • Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and construction documentation processes., • Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants and internal project teams., • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills., • California architectural licensure path or pursuit of licensure is a plus.
