In this role, you will be the sole UX voice on an eight-person Scrum team working to develop and deploy new online tools for our federal client. Job Description SUMMARY: The United States Marshal Service (USMS) needs a senior, mid-level and junior Project Manager to provide Design Review Services to the USMS, Management Support Division (MSD), Office of Construction Management (OCM). The OCM manages the USMS’ Real Estate Portfolio. MSD is responsible for the programming, planning, acquisition, budgeting, review of design, and monitoring of construction of the space the USMS occupies throughout the portfolio. USMS space includes detention space, prisoner movement, processing, and holding areas, administrative and operational offices, and related circulation and support areas. The USMS does not stamp or certify drawings or specifications, we only review to ensure they comply with our requirements and generally accepted architecture and engineering standards. Most of its larger projects are sub-projects within a much larger GSA managed project for a new courthouse or major courthouse renovation. The OCM completes comprehensive reviews of USMS specific space, as well as any used for prisoner circulation to/from the detention area and court rooms. MSD’s rent team manages over 800 leases and approximately 7.5M SF space. The contract will be for review services to include, but not limited to, facility assessments, strategic facility planning, data collection, engineering/building systems (mechanical/electrical/plumbing), communication and information technology infrastructure, structural surveys, space situation summaries, space requirements reports, performance specifications and cost estimates, block and stack plans, space plans/layouts, interior design: finishes and color selection, architectural design: review of design and construction phase drawings and specifications, construction review and punch lists, furniture review and punch lists, design of system upgrade and replacement projects, design of physical security and surveillance systems, special forced entry, and ballistic resistant construction, hazardous material abatement and removal design/specification, and existing condition documentation. Change of the core hours (9:00am – 3:00pm) must be approved by the COR. Alternate Work Schedule (AWS): A work week shall be comprised of 40 productive, billable hours. Although the normal contractor work schedule shall be from 8:30am to 5:00pm, alternate work schedules may be approved by the applicable COR. Alternate schedules include modified duty hours. All schedules shall be in accordance with USMS policy. If utilizing an alternate work schedule, the work week will be a combination of two weeks in which 80 productive and billable hours are the norm. The agency makes no guarantees that the AWS schedule will be available. If an AWS is made available, it can be terminated at any time by the agency and the individual would be required to work 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day. Alternate Work Schedule (Telework): Contractor employees are permitted to telework upon approval by the COR. The actual telework arrangement for a contractor employee will be agreed upon between the contractor’s own employer and the COR.
