Job Description Purpose: The primary function of this job is to provide outstanding service to members by coordinating service delivery to members in the office, demonstrating the use of service delivery systems, promoting & referring Credit Union services and products to new and existing members, and by fully using job-relevant technical skills, maintaining/updating technical skills, and seeking to enhance service skills. This position requires that the individual be very comfortable in a public contact position and requires the employee to demonstrate a general knowledge of the Associate Banker duties. All front-office positions are high visibility/high volume and require the ability to make decisions within the established guidelines, the willingness to work within a sales environment, and the ability to be a team player in an organization that values the spirit of teamwork. Required Core Positions Functions • Responsible for meeting established sales goals for WEFF products and services, • Responsible for producing sales referrals for new accounts and loans as assigned, • Utilize empowerment matrix, • Follow WEFF’s service guidelines, • Possess thorough knowledge of all banking products and services, • Explain Credit Union products/services to members, • Refer members to appropriate departments as required, • Process member account inquiries and respond to member problems, • Assist in end-of-day processing, • Adhere to work environment maintenance standards, • Conduct Teller transactions in person and over video, • High degree of tech knowledge to include use of video conferencing, on-line, mobile banking, use of virtual meeting such as teams and WebEx., • Perform specific and delegated duties as assigned by management, • Engage in professional, positive, and productive communication with members who use, • Interactive Teller Machines, • Actively educate members about products and services by asking appropriate questions, uncovering member needs, and recommending solutions, • Provide guidance on digital tools and services to enhance the member experience, • Greet members in branch locations and determine the nature of member’s business, • Ensure members receive service in a timely manner, • Demonstrate a general knowledge of all Associate Banker duties, including check processing/hold policies and all back-office processes and functions, • Demonstrate knowledge of Phone Service, Service Support, and Sales Support job functions Other Functions • Responsible for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and Credit Union procedures related to completion and filing of Currency Transaction Reports, • Monitor the lobby to identify potential security risks, • Notarize documents for members and staff, • Crosstrain to learn other front-office functions, • Assist in maintaining membership records confidentially, • Perform specific and delegated duties as assigned by management, • Process vault transactions and maintain vault funds as assigned by management, • Process new membership applications, open, and activate savings, checking and other savings related accounts., • Provide excellent member service at all times, • Ensure confidentiality of member account information, • Process and post monetary and related transactions, • Process checks and apply appropriate holds, • Follow established cash drawer and cash handling procedures, • Reconcile/balance cash and transactions within guidelines, • Follow established security procedures, • Process night drop and mail deposits, • Deter fraud whenever possible, • Responsible for resolving member inquiries and account disputes, • Demonstrate the use of service delivery systems and direct members to the appropriate delivery channels, • Open additional savings-products using established procedures, • Cross-sell products/services when appropriate, • Provide error resolution and effectively solve account service issues, • Activate new accounts and close existing accounts as needed, • Effectively and accurately perform ITM functions, including processing deposits to savings, checking and other savings accounts., • Monitor deposit amounts, examine documents for endorsement and negotiability, disburse cash, receive loan payments, and process transfers between accounts., • Guide members through self-service account maintenance requests via digital channels., • Process Shared Branch transactions, • Process basic IRA transactions Job Qualifications Knowledge of: Skills • Cash handling procedures, • Products/services, • Policies/procedures and service philosophy, • Safety/security programs (i.e., false alarms, robberies, bomb threats and extortion), • In-house computer system, • Regulatory understanding, • Vision: Ability to complete necessary paperwork, • Safety/security programs (i.e., false alarms, robberies, bomb threats and extortion), • In-house computer system, • Speech/Hearing: Ability to communicate verbally with staff, members, and vendors, • Requires significant finger manipulation, hand-arm manipulation, hand/arm steadiness, eye/hand/foot coordination, limb movement without visual control, hand/ear coordination skilled body coordination, and skilled body positioning, • Possess mental concentration to resolve basic problems which are relatively redundant, • Keep personal work updated and accurate, • Accept limited responsibility for funds/records, • Accept responsibility for access to confidential data Education/Experience • High school level of language, math, and reasoning skills, • Two years' experience in a related field with equal responsibilities, • Formal training should be supplemented with continuing internal and external education and self-development programs
