What we are looking for: Branch Manager Trainee that can contribute to the company by handling all flooring materials needs throughout the warehouse. Schedule: Monday through Friday; and some Saturdays (flexibility is needed) Position Summary: The branch Manager contributes to the company’s overall success by overseeing daily operations and leading the branch team to achieve operational and sales targets while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. The position will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Will oversee all aspects of branch operations to ensure efficiency by managing daily activities, optimizing resources, and enforcing compliance with company policies and regulatory standards., • Ensure safe work practices by identifying and mitigating risk related to branch operations., • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to achieve branch goals., • Identify staffing needs, participate in candidate interviews, and make sound hiring decisions., • Address performance issues through corrective actions, such as warnings or performance improvement plans (PIP)., • Client retention - Visit sites to inspect quality and build relationships with property managers and maintenance personnel., • Monitor and analyze branch performance, including budgets, P&L statements, and financial metrics, to meet or exceed the branch's profit expectations., • Investigate and resolve client challenges that arise., • Ensure independent Contractors provide a high quality of service and meet service deadlines, and source new independent contractors., • Ensure inventory levels align with company standards, minimize shrinkage, and oversee or conduct monthly audits to maintain accuracy and accountability., • Meet frequently with the area manager to discuss branch performance., • Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to collaborate on sales strategies for the branch., • Attend and participate in local industry, client, and association events to build brand awareness and loyalty., • Other Duties: This job description does not imply that these are the only duties to be performed. Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities: • Communication skills: able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form. Proficient in effectively engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders., • Reasoning/challenge-solving ability: able to analyze situations fully to arrive at accurate, logical, and appropriate resolutions; able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; able to deal with challenges involving several concrete variables in standardized situations., • Safety Leadership: Skilled in analyzing safety issues, developing solutions, and making informed decisions., • Leadership and Team Building: Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and motivate a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment., • Financial Acumen: strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management to drive profitability and manage expenses effectively., • Time Management and Organization: Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines., • Technology/Software: Demonstrates advanced expertise in Windows, Microsoft Office applications, and CRM software., • Mathematical Skills: Strong proficiency in numerical analysis and mathematical calculations. This includes the ability to work with large sets of financial data, perform complex calculations, and accurately interpret numerical information., • Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field (preferred) with a minimum of two (2) years of branch management experience or,, • Maintain Forklift Certification, • This position will directly supervise the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all branch employees., • This role involves regular travel to visit client sites and attend client and association events. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary to accommodate meetings, events, and other business activities, which may include evenings and weekends., • Strength: employee able to lift and move 1-10 lbs. frequently and 11-25 lbs. occasionally, • Movement: frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, and grip, feel, reach with hands and arms. and climb or balance, manual dexterity., • Audio: employee able to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds; able to express or exchange ideas, to impart oral information to clients or the public, and to convey detailed, accurate spoken instructions to other workers, • The position will primarily be based in the branch/warehouse environment but will also involve working in various settings, including client offices, trade shows, and public events., • This position requires regular driving to client sites, and attending business-related events as required. You will spend time on the road, encountering various weather and traffic conditions, so comfort with extended driving is essential., • The work environment is fast-paced, characterized by a high volume of emails, phone calls, and site visits. The noise level is typically moderate but can vary depending on location and event type., • Exposure to outside weather conditions is expected. Occasionally, you may encounter fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations.
