Job Description Duration: 06+ Months Description: • Requests job duties from hiring managers; adds appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities; shares classification specifications when requested; enters position description data into the PeopleSoft application., • Creates vacancies in the applicant tracking system (Taleo)., • Posts positions to internal and external job boards using the Ohio Hiring Management System (OHMS) platform., • Notifies sourcing partners of vacancies., • Posts jobs to external job boards (e.g., Handshake, Indeed, LinkedIn)., • Attends job analysis sessions with the Talent Strategy Manager., • Routes posting requisitions to the supervisor for review., • Represents the agency at job fairs. Responsibilities: • Serves as the Human Resources (HR) representative in interviews., • Screens applications for minimum qualifications., • Notifies the hiring manager when applications are ready to review., • Conducts reference checks, background checks, and drug tests., • Drafts offers of employment., • Schedules interviews., • Processes electronic personnel action requests (ePARs) to hire, transfer, or promote staff., • Sends hire announcements to all employees at the agency., • Requests new-hire forms., • Submits onboarding ticket requests to the Information Systems Division., • Enters new-hire data into the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) online form., • Faxes SSA-1945 forms to OPERS., • Adds and updates forms in personnel files., • Serves as the agency's coordinator for the annual Combined Charitable Campaign (CCC) and other charitable initiatives., • Serves as the Human Resources Division's representative on the agency's Culture Club., • Assists with employee recognition activities., • Researches and recommends employer recognition programs to the supervisor., • Assists employees who have questions about placing orders for agency-branded items., • Maintains the tables of organization (TOs) for the agency., • Makes revisions when employees leave, join, or change positions within the agency., • Prepares TOs to be published on the agency's intranet on a monthly basis., • Responds to requests to receive charts in varied formats., • Disposes of personnel and selection files in accordance with records retention schedules and procedures., • Completes employment verifications., • Drafts content for the employee newsletter., • Attends staff meetings., • Serves as HR content manager for the intranet and webpage.
