Tideline Oceanfront Resort & Spa is a luxury oceanfront destination known for its private white sand beach, premier spa, and world-class dining across two on-site restaurants. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all kitchen operations across the resort. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned culinary professional ideally with strong ties to the Palm Beach market to deliver elevated, high volume dining experiences in a stunning oceanfront setting. Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience, plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits package. Position Summary The Executive Chef provides both strategic and hands-on leadership for all culinary operations at Tideline. This role is responsible for preserving the integrity of established core menus while introducing innovative seasonal offerings that reflect the Tideline luxury brand. The ideal candidate is a creative, highly organized culinary leader who thrives in high-volume environments, builds strong teams, and consistently delivers memorable oceanfront dining experiences for resort guests, events, and VIP clientele while maintaining disciplined financial and cost controls. Key Responsibilities Culinary & Operational Leadership • Oversee all kitchen operations across Tideline’s outlets, including two restaurants, bar service, in-room dining, and banquet/catering functions, • Ensure consistency, efficiency, and excellence in a high-volume luxury environment, • Execute established core menus with precision while maintaining the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation, • Partner with the Director of Food & Beverage and resort leadership to develop innovative seasonal menus, • Incorporate fresh, local ingredients and current culinary trends aligned with the Tideline brand, • Balance creativity with operational efficiency and cost targets, • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor culinary staff including chefs, cooks, and stewards, • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, • Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, • Develop and manage the annual culinary budget in partnership with resort leadership, • Maintain strict control of food cost, labor cost, and kitchen operating expenses to meet or exceed financial targets, • Oversee all ordering, purchasing, and vendor management to ensure quality, pricing competitiveness, and timely delivery, • Review purchase specifications and negotiate with vendors to optimize cost savings and product quality, • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and ensure proper product rotation and storage, • Implement waste reduction, yield management, and cost-containment strategies without compromising luxury standards, • Analyze weekly and monthly financial reports, identify variances, and implement corrective action plans, • Ensure strict adherence to all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations, • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection ready kitchen at all times, • Serve as a culinary ambassador during VIP events and guest interactions, • Collaborate cross-functionally with Events, Sales, and Front Office teams, • Proven leadership experience in a hig volume upscale kitchen with annual food sales exceeding $3M, preferably in a luxury resort or fine dining environment, • Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and retaining high performing culinary teams, • Exceptional culinary execution skills with the ability to maintain brand standards while innovating, • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, food cost control, labor management, purchasing, and inventory oversight, • Experience managing vendor relationships and large-scale food ordering programs, • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities, • Familiarity with the Palm Beach culinary landscape and local vendor network strongly preferred, • Professional references validating leadership, culinary expertise, and operational performance Tideline Oceanfront Resort & Spa is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
