Job Description We are seeking a Sous Chef to lead daily operations for a scratch, wood-fired kitchen concept. This hands-on role partners with the Executive Chef to drive food quality, team development, and operational excellence in a high-volume, seasonally driven kitchen. Ideal candidates are experienced culinary leaders passionate about bold flavors, craftsmanship, and mentorship. Key Responsibilities • Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation., • Work hands-on on the line and expo during service, demonstrating leadership by example., • Train, mentor, and develop line cooks and prep staff., • Assist with ordering, inventory, and food cost control., • Maintain sanitation, food safety, and compliance with standards., • Support menu execution, seasonal updates, and recipe adherence., • Manage scheduling and labor efficiency within budgeted targets., • Step into leadership in the Executive Chef’s absence. Qualifications • 3–5+ years progressive culinary leadership experience., • Experience in scratch kitchens and high-volume service environments., • Strong understanding of wood-fired cooking techniques preferred., • Knowledge of food cost, labor management, and kitchen systems., • ServSafe certified (or ability to obtain)., • Strong leadership presence with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.
