Key Profile and Responsibilities: Inspection and Measurement: Assess the condition of the roof, take precise measurements, and document any damage using photographs for insurance claims or price quotes. Prospecting and Closing: Generate leads, educate potential clients on available material options, and close sales by building trust and demonstrating expertise. Technical Knowledge: Provide expert advice on various roofing types (asphalt, metal, tile), ventilation systems, vapor barriers, and local building regulations. Client Management: Maintain consistent communication with the client from the initial quotation stage through to the successful completion of the project. Required Skills: Persuasive Communication: The ability to explain technical details in simple terms and build rapport with clients. Perseverance: High level of self-motivation for fieldwork and for following up with leads. Organization: Efficient management of schedules for site visits and the preparation of price quotes. Honesty: A focus on helping the client find the best solution for their needs, rather than simply making a sale. This role requires a blend of being an expert advisor and a proactive sales professional, often involving work with homeowners, real estate investors, or property managers.

ABOUT THE POSITION Maximus Auto Group is seeking a motivated, personable, and customer-focused Automotive Sales Consultant to join our tight-knit, high-performing team. This role is ideal for someone with auto sales experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping people find the right vehicle at the right price. As a Sales Consultant, you’ll play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, whether you're guiding first-time buyers through the process, supporting returning clients, or handling online inquiries. This is a hands-on position that blends customer service, product expertise, and operational excellence. From test drives to finance options, you’ll be the trusted guide in our customers’ car-buying journeys. You’ll also assist in maintaining our welcoming environment, ensuring seamless back-office operations, and occasionally supporting inventory purchases. This is an hourly position with commission, with an introductory period of three months. The role is full-time and located at our dealership. IDEAL CANDIDATE We’re looking for a proactive, professional individual with prior experience in auto sales and a passion for customer care. The ideal candidate is organized, confident, a natural relationship builder, and eager to grow with a company that values hustle, honesty, and high standards. You should bring a “no task too small” attitude, be willing to learn new systems and processes, and take ownership of your work from greeting a customer to handing over the keys. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Guide customers through the vehicle sales process—from initial contact to closing Maintain expert-level knowledge of our inventory and financing options Conduct vehicle test drives and explain features and specs clearly and confidently Provide quotes and present financing options in collaboration with our finance partners Follow up on leads, online inquiries, and unsold prospects via email, phone, and text Support post-sale customer satisfaction to generate repeat business and referrals Schedule appointments and respond promptly to digital customer inquiries Supervise office tasks, including inventory supply management and secretary coordination Order vehicle parts as needed and attend auto auctions QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 1+ years of auto sales experience preferred Proven ability to build rapport and provide excellent customer service Strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with basic office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite a plus) Valid U.S. driver’s license High school diploma or GED required Must be able to work on-site and attend occasional off-site vehicle auctions Strong time management, follow-up, and organizational skills COMPENSATION, BENEFITS and PERKS Hourly wage plus commission Strong earning potential with top performers able to earn up to $2,000 per week in sales commissions Employee discount after successful 3-month introductory period Taxes withheld per federal and North Carolina state requirements WORKFORCE DIVERSITY AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY At Maximus Auto Group, we believe that a diverse and inclusive team is essential to our success and the strength of our customer relationships.
