What you’ll tackle day-to-day • Diagnose, repair, install, and remove commercial kitchen equipment and base building HVAC assets., • Service hot-side cooking equipment, refrigeration (including sealed systems), specialty foodservice devices, and HVAC systems., • Meet Operator service level agreements by responding promptly and professionally to requests., • Work on brands including Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, and Garland Grill., • Collaborate with equipment manufacturers for advanced diagnostics and parts identification., • Consult in real time with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team while onsite., • Install ordered parts with precision; verify performance and safety., • Close out work orders accurately; manage timekeeping, receipts, and truck stock inventory in mobile apps., • Keep your service vehicle, tools, and parts impeccably organized and ready., • Support on-call emergency response during non-standard hours., • Follow rigorous safety practices and accident-prevention procedures., • Continuously upskill through OEM training and certification pathways., • Build strong relationships with equipment partners, suppliers, and vendors across the service network., • Maintain productivity levels aligned with company benchmarks. Your background, • Technical trade school and/or substantial hands-on experience; 5+ years in a related trade or equivalent., • Demonstrated capability in at least one of: sealed refrigeration/HVAC systems, electrical, mechanical systems, process controls, hot-side cooking equipment, or mechanical power transmission., • Experience servicing kitchen equipment, facilities, or construction systems., • EPA Universal Certification., • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a safe driving record (MVR required); able to operate company vehicles safely., • Strong mechanical aptitude; adept at reading diagrams and schematics., • Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service applications., • Clear written and verbal communication; self-starter who thrives independently with a positive, service-first attitude. Travel & physical demands, • 100% travel within a defined local market; limited overnights, primarily for onboarding and training., • Work extended periods during emergency or priority situations (including overtime)., • Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs., • Climb ladders and stairs up to two stories (with ladder safety training). Note: Roof access ladders are provided; van loading/unloading of a large ladder is non-typical., • Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling., • Extended standing and walking on even and uneven surfaces., • Frequent use of arms, wrists, and hands to operate tools and machinery.
