Job Description The Childcare Lead Assistant supports the care, supervision, and development of infants and toddlers, preschool children, school-age children, and mixed-age groups. Reporting to the childcare director, site supervisor, or lead teacher, this role helps deliver structured curriculum, early academic enrichment, and play-based activities while supporting classroom staff, coordinating daily activities, guiding assistant staff, and acting as lead during supervisor absences. Responsibilities • Supervise children across infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age groups., • Plan and support structured curriculum, early academic enrichment, and play-based activities., • Provide classroom support and coordinate daily activities., • Monitor safety procedures and maintain a secure learning environment., • Communicate with parents and provide behavior guidance using positive approaches., • Track attendance and maintain organized classroom spaces., • Coordinate staff activities, guide assistant staff, and support classroom teams., • Document and report incidents promptly.
