Job Description Overview: Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of the world’s largest distributors of Healthcare systems, Medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Pharmacy Clerk (Part-Time role). Job Title: Pharmacy Clerk (Part-Time role) Location: Cheektowaga, NY (2873 Broadway, Cheektowaga, NY - 14227) Duration: 3-6 months+ temp-to-hire!!! Pay Rate: $17.50/hr on W2 Schedule: Part-Time (24–32 hours/week). Fridays and Sundays are mandatory. * Sunday – 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM * Monday – 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM * Tuesday – 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM * Wednesday – 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM * Friday – 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Must-Have Requirements: * HS diploma/GED or equivalent experience. * Able to lift 20–30 lbs consistently and up to 30 lbs occasionally. * Ability to stand/walk continuously during shifts (8+ hours per day). * Requires bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, and pinching. * Basic math, reading, and writing skills. * Visual acuity to read computer screens, handheld scanners, and labels. Job Description: The Pharmacy Clerk will support prescription filling operations in a fast-paced production environment. Under pharmacist supervision, this role involves filling, packaging, sorting, and distributing medications with precision and accuracy while ensuring compliance with pharmacy procedures and regulations. Responsibilities: * Manually fill prescription vials with tablets and capsules. * Retrieve and process Unit of Use and Bulk items. * Verify medication size and strength before filling orders. * Replenish medications in automated cells; open bottles/cases to restock. * Accurately count or calculate required units to fill prescriptions. * Use handheld scanners for product verification and replenishment. * Maintain focus and attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks. * Ensure pharmacy floor is clean and orderly. * Process orders for shipping, including packing paperwork and labeling. * Fill, pack, and ship prescriptions with 100% accuracy using SOPs and McKesson systems. * Adhere to federal/state HIPAA laws and pharmacy standards. * Perform housekeeping and other assigned duties. * Support and promote the company’s Shared ICARE Principles. * Mandatory overtime required as business needs. Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma/GED. * 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy, retail, or customer service environment preferred. Additional Qualifications: * Strong attention to detail in a repetitive-task environment. * Problem-solving and escalation skills. Preferred Qualifications: * Prior experience in a pharmacy setting.
