Job DescriptionShipping and Staging Clerk Job Description The Shipping and Staging Clerk accurately receives, pulls, and stages product using manual handling and pallet jacks, repackages bulk orders into smaller quantities, and prepares shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers in a fast-paced, climate-controlled warehouse environment. Responsibilities • Receive incoming product and verify quantities and condition against documentation., • Pull and stage product by hand or using a pallet jack according to pick tickets and shipping orders., • Break down bulk orders and repackage items into smaller quantities based on customer requirements., • Pack orders securely and neatly to prevent damage during transit., • Prepare shipments for outbound delivery, including labeling, documentation, and staging for carriers., • Perform picking tasks efficiently and accurately to meet daily production and shipping goals., • Support general labor tasks in the warehouse and production areas as needed., • Assist with basic inventory activities such as counting, organizing, and tracking product locations., • Operate a cherry picker safely and effectively to access and move product stored at height., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility guidelines., • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and on-time shipping., • Adapt to occasional extended hours when workload requires additional support. Essential Skills • 1–2+ years of packaging, receiving, and/or shipping experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment., • Hands-on experience with packing, shipping, and receiving processes., • Proficiency in order picking and staging product for shipment., • Ability to safely use pallet jacks to move and position product., • Experience breaking down bulk orders and repackaging into smaller quantities for customers., • General labor experience within a warehouse or production setting., • Basic inventory handling skills, including counting and organizing stock., • Cherry picker operating experience in a warehouse environment., • Ability to work effectively on a set schedule from late morning to evening., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate quantities and correct packaging., • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Comfort working in a structured production and warehouse team of 40–50 people., • Willingness to occasionally work an extra hour or two when workload demands., • Reliability and punctuality for consistent weekday shifts., • Ability to follow safety procedures and warehouse guidelines., • Strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of warehouse and staging tasks. Work Environment The role is based in a climate-controlled production and warehouse facility working alongside a team of approximately 40–50 people. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from about 11:00 a.m. to 7:30–8:00 p.m., with the possibility of working an extra hour or two when needed and only rare Saturday work, almost never on Sunday. The environment is fast-paced but organized, with defined breaks including two 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. You use typical warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and a cherry picker, and you follow facility safety requirements, including wearing closed-toe shoes and appropriate work attire. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $20.75/hr.
