Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and electrical work. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Follows the Service Ticket Request system and completes all documentation for work performed, in a timely manner., • Perform routine and semi-skilled maintenance for shelter facilities, including mechanical, plumbing, landscaping, painting, HVAC, and electrical tasks., • Ensures that the facilities and grounds are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition., • Troubleshoot and repair tools, systems, and equipment; escalate complex repairs to Manager., • Complete preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as scheduled or assigned., • Conduct regular safety and security inspections; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to Manager., • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance tasks for facility and equipment., • Performs unscheduled maintenance tasks., • Assemble, move, repair, and maintain furniture and fixtures (e.g., desks, cabinets, chairs, shelves), • Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required., • Assists with structural pest control measures., • Performs landscaping and grounds maintenance., • Assists and serves as back-up to other Facilities employees; includes performing custodial tasks, as needed., • Provide special event support by helping with setup, takedown, or logistics., • Performs all other duties as requested or assigned by Supervisor or Manager., • Reports suspicion of animal abuse or neglect to any Manager or above immediately., • Reports any unsafe working conditions to any Manager or above immediately., • Maintains client, donor, volunteer, and staff confidentiality at all times., • Follows SOPs and other safety regulations at all times., • Completes all necessary and requested training in a timely manner in accordance with shelter policy., • Attends staff meetings., • Participates in shelter events as requested by Supervisor.
