OVERVIEW: The Master Electrician is primarily responsible for the maintenance and installation of facilities electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment. The candidate will be responsible for repairs and improvements to electrical service and devices at RTS facilities in accordance with all appropriate codes and regulations. Secondary responsibilities include performing major and routine repairs typically encountered in maintaining building and shop equipment at a mass-transit facility. The candidate must also demonstrate a level of competency in the general building trades, including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, concrete finishing, and miscellaneous remodeling. The successful candidate will be assigned to complete all tasks within the scope of RGRTA/RTS Buildings and Grounds mechanical work. REQUIREMENTS: • Must have a full set of tools to perform all jobsassigned., • Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs., • A valid NYS driver's license and clean driving record required., • Must obtain a New York State CDL Class Bpermitwith passenger and air brake endorsement prior to start date., • Current license as a Master Electrician (Three-phase) issued by the City of Rochester Electrical Examining Board EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), • Candidate must have met all requirements as listed above.
