Key Responsibilities • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products., • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify adherence to specifications., • Document inspection results accurately, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed quality reports., • Initiate and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) for defective materials or products., • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions., • Maintain detailed quality records and ensure compliance with quality management system (QMS) procedures., • Conduct first-article inspections (FAI) and participate in final product release processes. Recommended Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing quality control., • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM)., • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications., • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and inspection methodologies., • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances., • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation. Bonus Qualifications • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods., • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles., • Proficiency in CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation or programming., • Certification in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)., • Previous experience with internal quality audits.
