Job DescriptionBenefits: Experience Level Mid Level (3 or more years of relevant experience) Role Overview The Network & Telecommunications Engineer is responsible for administering, supporting, and improving enterprise network, telecommunications, and security infrastructure. This role provides operational support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and engineering services across voice, data, firewall, and network platforms. The position supports secure, reliable, and resilient enterprise connectivity while participating in medium to complex telecommunications projects. Key Responsibilities Network & Security Infrastructure Operations • Administer, analyze, and support enterprise network, telecommunications, and security technologies, • Perform engineering, administration, capacity planning, and operational support for Cisco, Palo Alto, and related platforms, • Monitor systems to identify trends, risks, vulnerabilities, and serviceimpacting conditions, • Troubleshoot and resolve network, firewall, telecommunications, and connectivity issuesTelecommunications & Voice Systems, • Maintain, tune, and support VoIP and enterprise communications infrastructure, • Support VPNs, remote site connectivity, and secure access services, • Provide advanced issue resolution and technical escalation supportMonitoring, Performance & Reliability, • Administer and support network monitoring and management tools, • Monitor availability, capacity, and performance to ensure operational stability, • Support vulnerability monitoring, prioritization, and remediation activitiesEngineering & Continuous Improvement, • Research, evaluate, and recommend network, voice, and security enhancements, • Implement improvements to strengthen resilience, continuity, and service reliability, • Identify opportunities to standardize, optimize, and modernize network environmentsDocumentation & Standards, • Develop technical specifications, implementation recommendations, and supporting documentation, • Document and standardize operational procedures to improve supportability and knowledge transfer, • Reduce reliance on limited specialized resources through process improvementProject & Stakeholder Support, • Support approved projects as requested by program areas and IT leadership, • Participate in complex telecommunications projects as a contributor or technical lead, • Provide customer support for clientreported technical issuesRequired Qualifications, • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, • 3 or more years of IT experience supporting telecommunications and multiplatform environments, • 3 or more years of experience supporting maintenance of telecommunications services, • 3 or more years of experience providing customer technical support, • Experience with Cisco networking technologies including IOS, RADIUS, TACACS+, and access control systems, • Experience supporting VoIP, VPN, and enterprise communications platforms, • Strong troubleshooting skills across network, voice, and security infrastructurePreferred Qualifications, • Industry certifications such as CCNA (Route/Switch, Voice, or Collaboration), CCENT, or equivalent, • ITIL Foundation certification, • Experience supporting firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, • Experience contributing to or leading complex telecommunications projects, • Familiarity with enterprise IT and telecommunications policies and proceduresCore Skills & Attributes, • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across platforms, • Strong documentation and standardization mindset, • Effective communication and customer service skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in operational environments, • Collaborative approach to working in crossfunctional teams, • Focus on reliability, security, and service continuity This is a remote position.
