Job Description Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill an IT Field Services Technician job for our direct client. In this role, you will travel to client locations within a two-hour radius of Hartford, CT to provide on-site technical support, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting services across a variety of IT systems and environments. IT Field Services Technician job responsibilities: • Travel to client sites within a 2-hour radius to provide on-site technical support, • Configure, install, and troubleshoot Windows PCs, including hardware and software, • Install and troubleshoot network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks, • Support printers and other peripheral devices, • Perform server troubleshooting, including Active Directory and associated services, • Administer Microsoft 365 including Email, OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure, and On-Premises Exchange, • Configure and troubleshoot security appliances (firewalls and routers), • Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and WLAN network hardware and configurations, • Set up and troubleshoot VPN connections (site-to-site and client-to-site), • Support virtualization technologies including Hyper-V and VMware, • Utilize ConnectWise tools for documentation, issue tracking, and client communication, • Participate in after-hours rotation three to four times per year, • Minimum 3 years of IT industry experience, including IT field support, • At least 1 year of MSP experience, • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11, 10, and 7, • Experience with Windows Server 2012R2–2022, • Knowledge of networking protocols, QoS, VLANs, and related hardware configuration, • Ability to troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems and hardware, • Familiarity with companywide security tools such as MDR, EDR, and antivirus solutions, • Basic configuration and troubleshooting of VoIP systems, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities, • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, • Reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license, registration, and insurance, • Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 75 pounds, • Ability to sit, stand, and work in office and on-site environments Please note: Applying to this role is an agreement to have your information entered into our database and acknowledgement that a recruiter will reach out to you either by phone, email, and/or text message regarding this and similar job opportunities.
