Summary of Responsibility: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks related to the accounts payable function. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting the company’s overall financial operations. What You Will Contribute: • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and proper authorization., • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, ensuring compliance with company policies., • Enter invoices into the accounting system and prepare payment batches., • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner., • Maintain accurate and organized account payable files and records., • Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and reporting., • Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally., • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice or payment issues., • Support audits by providing documentation and responding to requests. Qualifications & Competencies: • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred., • 1–2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience required., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy., • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)., • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently., • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills., • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
