Job Description Plaintiff's Attorney - Early-Career Opportunity in a Broad, Client-Focused Practice Junior - Mid-Level | Litigation, Transactional, & Trusts & Estates Work | Meaningful Client Impact We are working with a collaborative, client-centered law firm seeking a Plaintiff's Attorney with at least one year of experience to join their growing team in a desirable Hartford suburb. What You'll Do: • Represent plaintiffs in a variety of litigation matters from intake through resolution, including personal injury, contract, tort, probate, and business litigation, • Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and legal correspondence, • Argue motions in court, take and defend depositions, and manage the discovery process, • Assist with trial preparation and courtroom work, • Work on transactional and advisory matters including real estate, business, and trusts & estates, • Maintain direct client communication, guiding individuals and businesses with care and clarity, • J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in CT, • At least one year of legal experience, including litigation exposure., • Experience with litigation and probate court matters preferred, as is experience drafting pleadings and discovery, • Strong research, legal writing, and oral advocacy skills, • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset with a strong interest in working with clients on a regular basis, • Keen interest in courtroom advocacy and delivering exceptional client service, • Eager to grow and contribute to a mission-driven, general practice firm, • Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively, • Competitive salary, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • Disability coverage, • Fully paid parking, • Excellent work-life balance, • Direct access to partners and clients, with real responsibility early on, • Opportunity to work both autonomously and as part of a team If you would like to be considered please provide a resume and two writing samples (preferably briefs or substantive memoranda not edited by others).
